I didn't lock the door!

Emily woke up feeling refreshed, her heart fluttering with the memory of the previous night. She turned to find Henry still asleep beside her, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm.

After a moment of watching him, she decided it was time to get ready for the day. Not wanting to disturb him, she quietly slipped out of bed and made her way to the bathroom, hoping to freshen up before he awoke.

The cabin's bathroom was small but cozy, adorned with rustic wooden panels and a cheerful shower curtain. Emily turned on the water, letting it warm as she gathered her toiletries. A quick shower left her feeling invigorated, and she wrapped herself in a towel, humming softly as she brushed her teeth while gazing in the mirror.

Suddenly, she heard the bathroom door creak open. Emily whipped around, toothbrush still in her mouth, eyes wide in shock.

"Emily? You in here?" Henry's voice was groggy yet cheerful.

She nearly choked on her toothpaste. "Um... yeah! Just a second!" she called, frantically rinsing her mouth and trying to regain her composure.

But it was too late. Henry had stepped inside, his eyes widening as he took in the sight of her in just a towel, hair damp and tousled, the morning light casting a soft glow around her.

"Oh my gosh!" she exclaimed, spitting the remnants of toothpaste into the sink. "I didn't lock the door!"

Henry's face flushed bright red, and he quickly turned his back, struggling to maintain some semblance of decorum. "I didn't expect to walk in on... this," he stammered, embarrassment thick in his voice.

Emily's cheeks burned hotter than ever. "You think? This isn't exactly how I wanted my morning to go!" The mix of embarrassment and amusement made her heart race, amplifying the thrill of the moment.

"Um, I'll just—uh—wait outside," Henry said, still facing away, his posture tense.

"Okay! Just give me a second!" she called, desperately trying to finish up. She hurried to compose herself, heart racing with embarrassment and an unexpected excitement.

Once she felt presentable, she took a deep breath and opened the door. "You can turn around now," she said, her voice steadier than she felt.

Henry turned, still a bit red in the face but trying to play it cool. "I'm really sorry about that. I didn't mean to barge in. I thought you'd be... more dressed."

Emily chuckled, her embarrassment fading slightly. "Well, clearly, I wasn't prepared for a surprise visitor!"

"I'll keep that in mind for the future," he replied, a playful grin breaking through his awkwardness.

After a moment, she stepped out of the bathroom, feeling more at ease. "So, breakfast?" she suggested, eager to change the subject.

"Yes, let's do that," he agreed, clearly relieved to move on from the unexpected encounter.

As they settled into breakfast, sharing stories and laughter, Emily felt the warmth of their growing connection. The previous night had changed everything, and she was more excited than ever to spend these next two days with Henry.

After breakfast, they decided to go for a hike in the nearby woods. The thought of exploring together sent thrills through Emily, and her heart raced as they walked side by side, conversations flowing effortlessly between them, punctuated with jokes and playful banter.

When they reached a picturesque viewpoint overlooking the valley, Emily couldn't help but gaze at Henry, her heart swelling with affection. This trip felt like more than just a getaway; it was a step toward something deeper, a relationship blossoming beautifully.
