After class, Taehyung slowly made his way outside, the bustle of students moving around him barely registering in his mind.

He was too deep in thought, replaying the conversation with Jimin and wondering how he could ever gather the courage to act on his feelings.

The uncertainty was eating away at him, but the idea of actually talking to Jungkook about it seemed impossible.

The warm sunlight filtered through the trees, casting soft shadows on the ground as Taehyung walked aimlessly across the courtyard.

He sighed, leaning against a nearby tree, trying to calm his racing thoughts. His eyes scanned the area almost unconsciously, and that's when he spotted Jungkook walking toward him, his usual bright smile lighting up his face as he approached.

“Hey, Tae!” Jungkook’s voice rang out cheerfully as he jogged over, a natural energy in his steps. “What are you doing out here?”

Taehyung tensed for a moment but quickly masked it with a smile. “Just... thinking, I guess. Needed some fresh air after that long class,” he replied, hoping his casual tone would hide the nervousness beneath.

Jungkook chuckled, standing beside him under the tree, his hands resting in his pockets. “You do that a lot—thinking. Sometimes I wonder what’s going on in that head of yours,” he teased, his eyes full of curiosity.

Taehyung’s heart skipped a beat at the remark, but he shrugged, trying to play it off. “It’s nothing important, really. Just, you know... life stuff.”

Jungkook tilted his head, looking unconvinced but not pressing the matter. “Well, whenever you’re ready to share that ‘life stuff,’ I’m all ears. You know that, right?”

Taehyung smiled faintly at the sincerity in Jungkook’s voice.

It was moments like these that made him even more unsure of what to do.

Jungkook was always kind, always caring, but was it just friendship? Or was there something more behind those thoughtful words?

“Thanks, Kook. That means a lot,” Taehyung finally said, his voice soft but genuine.

Jungkook grinned, the tension in the air dissipating. “Of course. So, any plans for later? I was thinking we could hang out if you’re free. Maybe grab something to eat?”

Taehyung blinked, caught off guard by the casual invitation.

His heart raced at the thought of spending more time with Jungkook, but his mind immediately went into overdrive. Was this just another friendly hangout, or could it be something more?

“Uh, yeah, I’m free,” Taehyung replied after a brief pause, trying to sound as relaxed as possible. “Where do you want to go?”

“There’s this café nearby I’ve been meaning to try. They’ve got these amazing pastries, and I’ve been craving them all day,” Jungkook said, his excitement clear in his voice.

Taehyung couldn’t help but laugh, the nervousness easing slightly. “You and your sweet tooth. Fine, I’m down for some pastries.”

Jungkook’s eyes sparkled as he flashed a wide grin. “Great! It’s a date then.”

Taehyung froze at the word ‘date,’ his mind spinning as he tried to figure out if Jungkook had meant it that way or if it was just an innocent phrase.

Jungkook didn’t seem to notice Taehyung’s sudden tension, already talking about what he planned to order once they got there.

As they stood there, making plans for later, Taehyung found himself relaxing into the moment.
