It was a rough night for Iriel Glavien. As she traversed the difficult journey through Shadow Grove Forest, she could tell a storm was heading in her direction. So, she acted in haste by setting up shelter and deciding it be best to weather out the storm. Iriel was wearing a black leather shirt, with grey leather pants. A pair of brown boots, a leather scabbard around her thigh with a dagger in it, a red belt around her waist with a hidden razor knife in the belt buckle, a brown satchel across her shoulder, and two knives sheathed on her back. She took the knives, the scabbard, and the satchel off as she set them to the side while preparing to hunker down in her Lean-to shelter for the night.

The conditions were rough, as the area became cold and damp, while heavy rain poured onto the earth hitting her shelter with a heavy thud every time

The conditions were rough, as the area became cold and damp, while heavy rain poured onto the earth hitting her shelter with a heavy thud every time. Unfortunately for Iriel though, she was used to this kind of condition in her everyday life, as often this is the kind of place she always ends up being. She has been traveling on her own for quite some time now, being a halfelf, and half-human, she is often ostracized and shunned wherever she has gone. That is why she is currently going to an Elven sanctuary she had heard about back in the town of Snowbush.

She had stopped and given some food to an elder elf who was living in the street. After sharing a few words together, he told her about a place. he had heard of, hidden on the mountainside of the Whitekasing Summit, where a community of Elven brothers and sisters resided, a community which welcomed everyone into their ranks, no matter of them being half-elf or otherwise. He told her they called it, "Tel 'Dolen Tal," The Hidden City.

He encouraged her to go, to take refuge and comfort among their own kind so that she wouldn't have to traverse this land on her own anymore. She smiled and agreed with his sentiments, how that would be a nice change of pace in her life, but she asked him if this place was so great and welcoming, why hadn't he gone yet? He chuckled and gave her a warm smile when she said that. He told her that at his age and condition, he would never survive the journey. But he told Iriel that she was young and strong, and she shouldn't have to end up like him.

That pressed heavily on Iriel's heart, feeling sorry for him she stayed a bit longer, left him some more food and a bit of money, and then carried on her journey

That pressed heavily on Iriel's heart, feeling sorry for him she stayed a bit longer, left him some more food and a bit of money, and then carried on her journey. Where to though ... she did not know. You see Iriel did not really have a destination she was traveling to, a home to call her own, she went from village to village, doing whatever odd jobs she could find to make sure she had enough money to be able to live off from. That is just the way things have always been, and as much as she wished that the old elf's story was real, she knew deep down in her heart that it couldn't be.
