It's just frustrating, I swear I'll take down this Arjun Singhania. Does the water or sea swallow him up that we can't find him?" I said to Hamza in an aggressive way.
"Relax, mate, just take a deep breath; we'll track him down. Every thief, no matter how cunning, eventually slips up and makes a mistake; we just need to find it," Hamza said to me.
"I just can't deal with this right now; I need some shut-eye and nothing else. I'm outta ere," I told him and left the office.
After parking my car, I walked into the house, only to find more drama waiting for me. I swear, today has been the worst day ever.
I stepped into the room and started checking my phone, but Leeza still hasn't replied. I message her every day, but I'm getting no response from her.
Just then, Sarah walked into the room and asked worriedly, "Are you okay, Noori?"
"No, I'm not. Can you believe the case I've been given is so complicated? He hasn't left a single clue about his where abouts and now this zaviyaar matter I'm just so frustrated," I told her. But when I take zaviyaar name her eyes showed some emotion but why..??
"Noori, it's totally dependent on Zaviyaar if he wants to marry you or not. It was just Dada's decision. I don't know why he gave your hand to his friend's son."
"I don't know how he will react after knowing what I did to Leeza and Azaan bhai. I have to deal with everything alone," I said.
"Per jiska koi nahi hota, uska Allah hota hai," I added. "Chacha and Chachi are coming tomorrow," Sarah said. "Ab unko kya masla hai, ab kis baat per ladai karne a rahe hain," I replied.
"Buri baat, Noori, they are your parents," Sarah said. "I don't care whether they are or not. When I needed them, they just left me alone and made me others' responsibility," she cleared her eyes.
"Remember, Allah is with you," Sarah said and left. After she left, I performed wuzu and prayed. After completing her payer, she lifted her hand for dua.
"Allah, I know this is your plan. Just help me through it. Ap toh jaante haina, mere pass apke siwa koi nahi. Ap khate hain maine tumhare liye har cheez banayi, par ap jate hain maine apke liye har cheez chod di hai. Bus ek choti si duniya jisme bus main aur ap hain. Ya Allah, mujhe sabar ata kar, mujhe hidayat de, Ameen...!!!"
After completing my prayers, I folded my prayer mat and started reading the Quran. I remembered when I was at my lowest point, someone said: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear."
And that someone was Zaviyaar, just a person I can't hate and love at the same time.
I reached home, and then mom called me into her room for an important talk. I knocked and entered her room, where I saw Dadi was also present. "Lagta hai aj dada se narazgi hai koi ahem," I teased while sitting beside Ami. Dadi rolled her eyes.
"Zavi beta woh," Ami was trying to say something. "Je Ami khaye," I said. "Woh beta, this is the time you have to marry Noor. Your dada told me to tell you about this," Ami explained. "WHAT..!!!" I shouted.
"Ami, please, I don't want to marry her," I said. "Kyun nhi Zavi, kyun nhi is sab main iski kya galati hai, isne tou kuch nhi kya tha na," Dadi said. "Iske gharwalon ne tou kya tha na," I replied.
"Aur Ami, ap jan kar bhi ajan hai, ap kaise aise kar sakti hai. They are the reason why my father got a heart attack, and you are asking me to marry her. How could you," I said.
"Beta, galatiyon ki saza galati karne wale ko di jati hai. Jante ho beta, woh tou khud hai ek naram phool hai, main isko nahi tor sakhti," Ami said.
"I didn't ask you about anything in my entire life, but I am asking you this, please accept this. Sometimes letting go is better revenge." I just looked into my mother's eyes and nodded.
She smiled and hugged me. "Beta, is phool ki hifazat karna kabhi meri tarbiyat per ungli mat uthne dena." After saying this, she kissed my forehead and left to tell Dada Abu. I just thought about Azaan's reaction. What will he react if he finds out I am going to marry her sister?
