The next day, June woke up feeling a bit more hopeful. She had an inkling that maybe, just maybe, Jasmin was starting to find her way back. She found herself humming as she got ready for school, feeling lighter than she had in weeks.

At school, she looked for signs of Jasmin in the hallways, her heart racing when she finally spotted her sister chatting with Mira near the lockers. It was a small moment, but it felt monumental. Seeing Jasmin laugh—really laugh—made June's heart swell with relief. It was a flicker of the old Jasmin, and she felt grateful for every moment.

As they settled into lunch together, June nudged her sister playfully. "So, what's the plan? We need to make sure you're not just surviving, but thriving."

Jasmin rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips. "I'll think about it. I mean, we can start by getting a milkshake after school, right?"

"Hell yes!" June exclaimed, feeling a rush of excitement. It was a small step, but it was progress.

And so, they talked and laughed, sharing stories about school and life, letting the joy seep back into their relationship. June realized that while the road ahead might be long and winding, they would face it together.
