Davia paced her apartment with her phone in her hand for an hour, two hours ago Dennis hung up on her after only hearing "uncle chris" followed by a text 5 minutes later

Davia looked down at her phone ringing, she quickly answered "what's going on?" She asked
"I uh...you met my dad, remember him?" Dennis asked
"Yeah, kind of a dick" Davia said
Dennis chuckled softly "well...replace kind of with is and you got my uncle" He said
"And he's at the coterie?" Davia asked
"Yeah, well, now he's heading back to hotel but...he wants to have dinner...meet you" Dennis said
"Oh, but im...here" Davia said
"I said that...he said-well it doesn't matter um...how do you feel about maybe Friday, me coming up there for dinner with him?" Dennis asked
Davia stopped pacing immediately "wait, you're coming here?" She asked
"Friday, Chris wants to meet you and said he'd fly us out" Dennis said
Davia smiled brightly "I've been here two days and you're already coming here...how can just say no to that!" She said
"With my Uncle Chris..hes...he's a lot" Dennis said
"Dennis, you're coming here, I don't care who you bring, just come here" davia said
"Okay, i know you're excited, but you've never met him, hes overbearing and judgmental and-" Dennis said before davia cut him off
"I get to see you, I don't care Dennis" Davia said and looked out her window "I just have to wait 2 days and I can see you in person" she added
"As long as you're okay with it" Dennis said

The next day davia was buzzing with excuses that Dennis was coming tomorrow, she was at the new theater for rehearsals, opening night isn't till next week and Ethan has been back on his drill Sargent mode ever since they got the grant
Serena looked over at Davia was chipper and in a carefree mode all day "I want to go home, we've done this number a billion times today" she said
"He just wants it to be perfect" Davia said looking through her phone
"Or...he's back to his old habits and we're gonna die on stage from exhaustion" Serena said
Davia looked at her and sighed "I'm just trying to get through today, we have off tomorrow" she said
"I get you're excited about your man coming but please don't go love blind on us, we backed you up when you fell" Serena said
Davia frowned and looked over at Ethan by the stage "you're right, im sorry" she said and slid her phone in her pocket before went over to Ethan
"No, run it again, Tomas you're not hitting your mark" Ethan said
"He's new, give him a little credit" Davia said as she leaned against the chairs
"He'll get credit when we hits his mark" Ethan said and looked at Davia "You need to go do try ons...no offense but you were gone a while and I need to make s I re everything fits stil" he added
Davia pursed her lips "mhm, I was gone a couple weeks...Ethan, you might wanna take a breather yourself, remember last time?" She said
"I do remember last time, that was a hundred grand ago" Ethan said and groaned "Tomas! To the left!" He said
