Seungcheol woke up first, blinking away the remnants of sleep, and turned to his side. There, lying next to him, was Jeonghan, sleeping peacefully with his soft hair splayed across the pillow.

Seungcheol couldn’t help but smile, feeling a warmth spread through him. If only he could stop time and just watch him forever.

However, his dreamy moment was interrupted when Jeonghan’s hand flew up, landing a slap on Seungcheol’s cheek. Eyes wide, Seungcheol stared at him in disbelief. “Does he really slap people in his sleep?” he wondered aloud.

To his surprise, Jeonghan mumbled, “No, I don’t slap while sleeping…”

Seungcheol narrowed his eyes, only to see Jeonghan suddenly break into a fit of laughter, clearly awake.

“You were pretending?!” he exclaimed, feeling a bit ridiculous for believing it.

Still laughing, Jeonghan nodded. Seungcheol, feeling the need for payback, lunged forward and began tickling him mercilessly. “You think you can get away with that?” he teased.

Jeonghan squealed, writhing under his touch, but soon fought back, tickling Seungcheol in return.

They ended up in a playful wrestling match, both breathless and laughing until they couldn’t anymore.

Finally, they collapsed back onto the bed, panting and staring at the ceiling with wide smiles. After catching his breath, Seungcheol chuckled.

“I think that’s enough excitement for one morning. You’ve got files to submit today, remember? Let’s get ready for the office.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” Jeonghan agreed, still smiling, before grabbing his things and heading to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

As Jeonghan disappeared into the bathroom, Seungcheol stayed on the bed for a moment longer, staring at the ceiling. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to calm the rapid beating of his heart.

The way Jeonghan’s laughter had filled the room, the way his eyes sparkled when he was teasing—it made everything brighter, warmer. It was in moments like these that Seungcheol felt his love for Jeonghan surge, stronger and more undeniable than ever.

He took a deep breath and got up, heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. It was something small, but Seungcheol always found himself wanting to do these little things for Jeonghan.

It was his way of expressing everything he felt—every bit of affection that he was too scared to say out loud.

By the time Jeonghan emerged from the bathroom, hair still damp and eyes sleepy but radiant, Seungcheol had already set the table. “Breakfast is ready,” he said, trying to keep his voice casual.

Jeonghan’s eyes lit up at the sight of the food. “You made breakfast? You didn’t have to, you know.”

Seungcheol just shrugged, unable to hide the small smile tugging at his lips. “I wanted to. Besides, you need energy for your big day, right?”

Jeonghan sat down, taking a bite, and sighed contentedly. “You always know how to take care of me, Cheol.”

Hearing those words made Seungcheol’s heart ache in the best way possible.

He wished he could say it outright, that he took care of Jeonghan because he loved him more than anything, but instead, he just nodded. “Of course, I do. You deserve it.”

After breakfast, they got ready to leave for work, and Seungcheol made sure to pack an extra snack for Jeonghan, slipping it into his bag without saying a word.
