A/N: this takes place before the dragonets but after darkstalker. Also I think I'm going to make it so the war and the dragonets don't exist. Or just that the dragonets don't come to the rainforest👍

Petal lived in the rainforest all her life. Just like all the other rainWings. She played tag and hide n' seek with everyone else, but she always had a nagging feeling that the rainforest wasn't everything they needed.

She tried asking the elders about world outside, but they either feel asleep, ignored her, or said it was SuPeR DaNgErOuS. Her best friends, Lavender and Clover, thought the idea was stupid, but they still supported her.

"hey, petal!" Lavender said one day, bounding up to her. "Hm? Waddya want?" she asked sleepy, she had just woken up from suntime. "Me and clover are going fruit gathering. Wanna come?" She asked. "Sure!" Petal said. This could be my chance to get to the end of the rainforest.. Petal secretly thought.

"Okay! I'll meet you at the pavilion." She said, interrupting petals thought. Petal got up, stretched, and flew down to the pavilion. "hey clover. Hey Lavender." Petal said as she got there. "where are we going?" "hmmm... I don't know. Lets just explore." Clover said. "okay!" Petal responded.

Lavender and Clover rushed off, flying through the trees, while Petal stayed a little bit behind. What's that noise-? She thought, as she heard a twig snap. She turned around, but didn't see anything.

She made her scales look like the forest behind her, and crept forward. She saw a strange brown dragon. Ahah! That's proof that there's more then the rainforest! Petal thought.

The dragon looked around, and she made her scales pink with magenta Sploches. "Hello!" She said. "Whaahh-!" he said, jumping back. "How did you do that?!" He yelped. "I'm a rainWing, silly Brown dragon." Petal said. A look of realization crossed his face. "Oh! Wow. I've never seen a rainWing before." He said.

"really? Where did you come from?" Petal asked. "the mud Kingdom." He replied, looking confused. So there IS more out there! I was RIGHT! "really? What are you?" Petal asked. "A mudWing? How do you not know about us? Do you know anything?" The mudWing asked. "I guess not. What's your name?" Petal asked. "Crocodile. You?"

"Petal."

"cool." He said.

"Oh- I should probably get back to my sibs." He added. "Oh. Yeah. I should probably get back to my friends." Petal said. "Okay. Bye." He said.

(sort of long rambling note. This is my first book on wattpad and no, im not going to tell you when I'm posting FIGURE IT OUT>:3 and I have school and stuff so that. And the big hurricane coming again is probably gonna mess this up and stuff so yeah. Also my wattpad is weird sometimes so if I don't post for a week that's why.
