Annisty's POV:
"I can not believe that Mr. Tanner actually let you on the team. Tyler and Matt must be seething. But good for you. Go for it." Aj said, being more bratty than usually because I could have swore she was trying to talk to Tyler during the summer. "I'm pretty sure Matt and Tyler don't care if he's on the team." Caroline said, scrolling on her phone as she sat on the loveseat across from Damon and Aj, while I sat on the arm of the chair because we both didn't want to sit next to Elena. "If anything, he just gives them a higher chance of winning the game. Not that they need it." I said glaring at Damon and Aj who sat on the same chair before looking at Care's phone pointing to the shoes that I thought looked pretty, but at least she wasn't sitting on his lap.
"Yea, well I always tell him that you can't just sit there and wait for life to come to you, you have to go get it." Damon said. Aj put her hand on his leg which caused me to tense up even though I didn't want to but luckily no one noticed. Or at least I think no one noticed. Because he moved her hand off his leg and placed it on her own leg.
"Yea, well Elena wasn't so lucky today. But it's only because you missed summer camp. God I don't know how you're ever gonna learn the routines." Aj said as if we ever cared because I was just telling Caroline to put Elena in the back for the things that she just can't get right. "Me and Annie will work with her and she'll get it eventually." Caroline said, showing me a shirt on her phone while also signing me up for more stuff that I don't want to do that has to do with Elena. "Or you can just put her in the back and let me take her place." Aj said but me and Caroline just ignored her because, ain't this yo friend..
"You don't look like the cheerleader type, Annisty. I see you more as a dancer, like ballet or hip-hop. Same goes for you Elena, you seem like a writer type of girl." Damon said and it seemed like he knew that I was a dancer, and I already knew what he was trying to do with Elena and Stefan so it didn't bother me. "Well, Annisty is a dancer. She is the reason we always win championships and she started the dance team." Aj said motioning towards me which caused everyone to look at me but I didn't care because I was texting Enzo at this point.
"And Elena's only still on the cheer team because her parents died. Yea, I mean, she 's just totally going through a blah phase. She used to be way more fun." Aj said, which caused me and Care to look up from our phones at everyone's face. Elena and Stefan were looking at Aj like she just killed their child, but Damon was just staring me up and down like he wanted to eat me. Aj then said, "And I say that with complete sensitivity." Once she realized that everyone stopped to look at her.
"I'm sorry, Elena, I know what it's like to lose both your parents. In fact, Stefan and I have watched almost every single person we've ever cared about die." Damon said, trying to sympathize with Elena while also messing with Stefan. This made Stefan say, "We don't need to get into that right now, Damon." Which made me look at him, before Damon said, "Oh, you know what, you're right, Stef, I'm sorry. the last thing I wanted to do was bring her up." Which caused everybody to get quiet. "Who is this 'her' you talking about?" I asked Damon because I wanted to be messy.
