Next morning
Goenka mansion
Agastya entered the kitchen and saw his wife cooking. He let out a sigh—yesterday should have been her first day in the house, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they hadn’t been able to welcome her properly.
Divya turned, noticing Agastya standing there, and offered him a gentle smile.
Divya: "Good morning."
Agastya: "Good morning…" *he paused, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.*
Sensing his hesitation, Divya asked gently, "Kuch kehna hai?"
Agastya sighed. "Yeah, Divya, actually I wanted to apologize to you."
Divya looked at him, startled. "Why are you apologizing?"
Agastya continued, "Yesterday was supposed to be your first day here, and we couldn’t even manage to give you a proper welcome."
Divya smiled softly. You don't need to apologize, Agastya. Jese halat hai abhi ghar ke, usmein yeh sab possible hi nahi tha.
Agastya: I know, but still, I feel I owe you an apology.
Divya sighed, then reached out and took his hand. "Agastya, there's no need for an apology."
Agastya was about to protest, but Divya cut him off with a gentle smile.
Divya: "Abhi hamare bachon ko hamari zarurat hai..." *She squeezed his hand reassuringly.* "Ham nai shadi ki hai, Agastya. Aur shadi mein koi cheez tumhari ya meri nahi hoti, balki hamari hoti hai. Aur ab yeh problem hamari hai. Hum milke isse ladenge, aur sab thik kar denge. Hm?"
Agastya nodded, feeling both humbled and in awe of her. Divya’s words were more comforting than he could have imagined.
Divya chuckled as she turned back to cooking. "Aur rahi baat welcome ki, toh jis tarah tumhare—" *She paused, correcting herself with a smile,* "humare bachon ne mujhe apne dil mein jagah di hai, itne pyar se accept kiya hai, toh phir welcome toh ho gaya na?" *She looked at him.* "Usse accha kya hi welcome milega mujhe?"
These words warmed Agastya's heart. He never expected her to say something so profound.
In that moment, he realized just how special his wife, Divya Goenka, truly was. He was incredibly lucky to have her in his life.
......
Aditya trudged through the corridor, his grumpy face a reflection of his turbulent emotions. Sleep had evaded him due to the unfamiliar surroundings, and now his irritability was boiling over.
As he turned a corner, he collided with someone, prompting an involuntary outburst.
"The heck! Dekh ke nahi chal sakte kya?" Aditya yelled.
Arshi, the person he'd bumped into, stood stunned, her eyes widening in shock. Quickly, her expression transformed into a stern glare.
Aditya opened his eyes to find Arshi's fiery gaze. Before he could react, she grasped his ear, twisting it firmly.
"Ow!" Aditya winced.
Arshi's voice was firm. "Did you just yell at me? Itne chote ho aur bado se baat karne ki tamiz nahi?"
Aditya squirmed, trying to shake off her grip. "Ah, pagal ho gayi ho kya? Chodo!"
But Arshi didn’t let go; instead, she twisted his ear even harder. "Nahi chhodungi! Pehle sorry bolo."
Aditya, now thoroughly irritated, grumbled, "Main kyu sorry bolu… Main nahi bolunga—ahh! Okay, okay, sorry! Sorry! Ouch!"
Arshi finally released his ear, crossing her arms as she glared at him. Aditya hissed, rubbing his now red ear.
