Lindsey: When The Lights Go Off

The Meeting

I walked into the lobby where everybody else was at, waiting for the production to start up. I sat in the only available chair putting my hands in my jacket bored as hell until the person next to me spoke up.

Boy: "Hey, you got casted in this show too? Pretty cool." I turned and saw it was Samuel, the cute boy at the auditions. My heart rate dropped for a minute but I really tried and acted normal in front of him... somewhat.

Lindsey: "Y-yeah.. I guess they really liked my humour or something like that, yeah..." Who even says that? Way to go, Lindsey. Ugh.

Samuel: "Yeah, heard your jokes at the audition, you're really funny not gonna lie." I was so so lovesick. He looked at me! He smirked and smiled at me! He was funny as well and not a bad singer either, he was the full package! But he'd probably never go for something like me. 

Lindsey: "Really?" 

Samuel: "Yeah.. wanna like hang out after filming?" My god, I was totally embarrassing myself right now but I didn't care, I was just glad he noticed me out of everybody else.

Lindsey: "Totally! Sure, yes!" Way to go again, Lindsey. Get yourself together.

Samuel: "Cool." His smirk was so cute on him, the butterflies in my stomach was just jumping up and down. I really do see a future with him, I just need to tell him my feelings.. later. Later, yeah.

The production started up and our duet was the next on. The host asked another male member, "Are you ready for some music, Ryan?" and Ryan introduced our duet.

Ryan: "Here's Lindsey and Samuel from our DumbTV concert singing She's A Fool!" The live studio audience cheered and I felt just a hint of arrogance and confidence in me, this was the moment I has been waiting for for months and I was gonna take this opportunity and make it my own.
