INT. RESTAURANT - DAY (AFTERNOON)

JIANG TIAN
(raising his voice with irritation)
"I told you I don't want to!"

SHENG WANG is startled by JIANG TIAN's loud response, causing nearby tables to glance their way. JIANG TIAN softly apologizes to the two tables that looked over and returns his gaze to SHENG WANG.

SHENG WANG's face shows he immediately senses something is wrong.

SHENG WANG
(confused and disheartened)
"Why? Don't you want us to be a complete family?"

Meanwhile, JIANG TIAN sees that the waiter who should have approached them a few minutes earlier has returned.

JIANG TIAN
(sighing before answering seriously)
"I feel like I'm okay with just the two of us. Aren't we enough for each other?"

JIANG TIAN notices SHENG WANG biting his lips—a sign he shows when he's nervous or about to cry. In this moment, it feels like his both experiencing the same emotions.

SHENG WANG
(showing a bit of fear)
"I knew it. I sensed it from the moment you stepped out... You're Benjamin, right?"

JIANG TIAN
(angrily)
"Sheng Wang, didn't I tell you not to call me that? Okay, how can we ensure we raise them well? That they won't regret having parents like us? What if they gets sick? What if it you get worse? If something happens—"

Music Cue
"Hanggang Dito Na Lang by TJ Monterde"

SHENG WANG
(pleading)
"Stop it... I'm getting scared.. Fine... I get it..."

JIANG TIAN nods, trying to calm himself, his left hand trembling tightly around his glass. Like SHENG WANG, he's afraid—not just for himself, but for the both of them.

JIANG TIAN
"But Sheng Wang, didn't I say not to call me that name again?"

SHENG WANG doesn't respond and continues to watch the people passing by the window where they are seated.

They both eat in silence, deciding to leave the place soon after.
