"Only the lake can bring you to life?" the Fox Sin of Greed drawls with a bored tone as everyone's piercing gazes focus on me, sending a cold rush down my spine. "Alright. What does that mean?"

"The lake," I repeat, not knowing what else to say to explain this bizarre situation. "I'm sorry, I—"

"Admittedly, it is rather strange that (Y/n/n) seemingly appeared out of nowhere," the Goat Sin of Lust suddenly chirps in, "at the very moment things were...spiralling out of control in Britannia."

Oh, great. If this guy starts making valid points against me, it'll make everyone suspicious of me.

"Gowther," the Dragon Sin of Wrath mutters in response, his voice laced with a hint of a warning.

"He's got a point, Captain," Ban notes as he walks over to me, his blood-red eyes glowing. "Don't get me wrong, you've done a lot to help around here in Liones, buttercup. But the timing is really off, especially considering the Ten Commandments are the ones who broke through the seal—"

But before the immortal can reach me, the daughter of the Supreme Deity releases my hand and steps in front of me, almost like she's shielding me. Clenching her fists, she straightens her back.

"Everyone," she announces with a shaky yet determined voice, "I must ask you to lay off (Y/n/n)."

"Princess," Ban speaks up, ready to argue, but he closes his mouth when he sees her sharp glare.

"Seven Deadly Sins," Elizabeth addresses the warriors before her, "you have faith in one another on the battlefield because you know each other. And even though it's only been a couple of days since we first met...the same goes for how I feel about (Y/n/n); I believe in her, so I trust her. So, if any of you say that you're wary or sceptical of (Y/n/n)...then I'm afraid you're also doubting me."

"Elizabeth," I murmur her name softly, tugging at her arm. "Please, stop this. Don't defend me—"

"I think I would be a pretty awful friend if I didn't," she responds simply and turns around to face me with that amazing smile. "Just as I have faith in you, have a little faith in me too, (Y/n/n). OK?"
