It was the start of a new school year, and Sana had just been named captain of the cheerleading team. As she led her squad onto the sidelines for the big soccer game, Momo, the captain of the soccer team, was focused on her own role, preparing for the match ahead. But that focus didn't last long.
During the middle of the game, Momo glanced toward the cheerleading squad and caught sight of Sana for the first time. Everything around her seemed to slow down. Sana's confidence and beauty struck Momo like a bolt of lightning, and she couldn't tear her eyes away. Momo was completely starstruck. So much so, that she didn't notice the opposing team had stolen the ball and was making a break toward their goal. By the time Momo snapped back to reality, it was too late-the other team had already scored.
The frustrated groans of her teammates didn't register in Momo's mind. All she could think about was that brief moment when she saw Sana. Meanwhile, on the sidelines, Sana noticed Momo's distraction. She blushed slightly but quickly shrugged it off, not daring to believe that someone like Momo, one of the school's most popular girls, would have been distracted by her. It seemed impossible.
Momo was known for being kind, talented, and effortlessly beautiful. Nearly everyone had a crush on her, and it wasn't surprising-she had a reputation for being good at everything she did. But Sana was also popular in her own right, with her striking looks, great attitude, and equally long list of admirers. Still, Sana hadn't really paid much attention to Momo before that moment, despite knowing about her.
Over the next few days, Momo found herself spacing out, unable to get Sana out of her head. She kept thinking back to that moment during the game when she had been completely captivated by her. It didn't help that her friends noticed her zoning out and teased her when she asked them if they knew anything about Sana. As much as Momo tried to brush it off, her curiosity about Sana only grew.
Sana, on the other hand, had been thinking about Momo more than usual. While she had always thought Momo was beautiful, she had never really focused on her much, being content with where she was in life. But now, she couldn't stop wondering why Momo had looked at her that way during the game. Every time she thought about it, she couldn't help but smile, replaying that moment in her mind and trying to make sense of it.
A week passed, and Momo finally made up her mind to talk to Sana. She needed to figure out her feelings and put an end to the confusion that had been swirling in her head. One day, as Momo was walking through the hallway, she spotted Sana at her locker with her friends. Momo stared for a while, watching as Sana said goodbye to her friends before heading to class alone. This was her chance.
Momo took a deep breath and walked up to Sana. "Hi," she said, her voice a bit shaky but determined.
Sana turned at the sound of Momo's voice, and a small smile appeared on her face. "Hi," she replied, putting down her books and turning to face Momo.
"I'm Momo," Momo introduced herself, even though she knew Sana probably already knew who she was.
Sana chuckled softly, her eyes bright with amusement. "I know," she said, clearly teasing her.
Momo felt her heart skip a beat. That chuckle, the way Sana was looking at her-it was overwhelming. She was pretty sure she had fallen in love right there and then. Sana, taking in Momo's nervous cuteness, tilted her head and said, "I'm Sana," as if Momo didn't already know.
Momo's mouth opened slightly, but she couldn't find the words. Sana's smile widened, and she raised an eyebrow. "Is there anything you need, Momo?" she asked, her voice playful.
Hearing her name come from Sana's lips made Momo's mind go blank for a second. She blinked, trying to pull herself together. "Um, I just wanted to ask if maybe you'd like to hang out sometime?" Momo stuttered, rubbing the back of her neck nervously.
