Days turned into weeks after that first meeting, and San and Y/N found themselves drawn back to each other, as if the years apart had only strengthened their connection. They met in that café almost every day, filling in the gaps of the years that had passed—tour stories from San, work anecdotes from Y/N, and the small joys and heartaches that had made up their lives without each other.

Yet, beneath the surface of their conversations, something deeper lingered. Unresolved feelings, old wounds, and the fear of letting themselves hope for something more weighed on them both. San's hand would brush Y/N's every now and then, and they would exchange a look that spoke of what neither dared to say out loud.

One evening, as they strolled along the river after another long conversation, San stopped abruptly, turning to face Y/N. "I'm tired of pretending like nothing happened between us. Like there's no... unfinished business."

Y/N's heart raced. "San, what are you saying?"

He stepped closer, his eyes intense. "I'm saying I still love you. I don't think I ever stopped."
