A few years ago...
Sonic was in an abandoned place with his long time best friend Ashley.
"uhh Sonic? Why are we here again?" Ashley asked.
"We're here for someone, Don't worry about it" He said to her.
Ashley looks at him and nods. Then a few moments later, Ash was uncomfortable and had a feeling that they were been watched.
"Sonie? I have a feeling this is a trap..." She said.
"What do you mean?" Sonic asked.
"Sonic I-I wanna go home" she confessed. "Don't worry, as soon as we have the cure, as soon we go home" He said to her.
"Promise?" She asked. "Promise" Sonic replied.
Then suddenly, black men surrounded them as Sonic and Ashley were shock. Then Sonic flung into action and fought them until he got hit on the head and fell down.
"Sonic!!" Ashley shouted in horror as a few men grabbed her. Then suddenly their heard clapping noises in the dark...
"Well well well... Look who is it" Then Elijah came out. Sonic slowly opened his eyes as he looks up at Elijah.
"Eli?..." He asked weakly as Elijah comes towards him and leans down and pulls him by his chin.
"Why hello Sonic..." Elijah said with a smirk. "Elijah, where am I... And where's the cure that you said that will help my best friend?" Sonic asked.
"Oh Sonic, Oh sweet sweet adorable and stupid Sonic... You really thought that I will give you that?" He said as he laughs.
"Yes, but what is going on?" Sonic said as he got his conscious back. "And what's happening!?"
"Oh Sonic, look what I have" Elijah said as he waved the medicine. Then he suddenly smashed it to the ground.
"no..." Sonic said unbelievably. "Aww what's the matter? Punk!" Elijah joked.
"Why, Why did you do this!? I thought that I can trust you!?" Sonic yelled. "Oh Sonic, you shouldn't be trusting someone like me because I can do what I want and I get what I want!" Elijah said as he looks at Ashley, then walks forward to her and said "And you..."
"Stay away from her!!!" Sonic yelled while he's been held back by Elijah's men. "How about this... I'll let you free and she'll die, or I'll her free and you'll die, your call" Elijah smirk.
Sonic went silent for a moment age answer. "Kill just don't hurt her..."
"Sonic No!!!" Ashley said as she struggled to be freed by Elijah's men's grips but failed. Sonic looks at her and smiles... "Tell the others okay... I'll miss you Ash..." Sonic said willing to sacrifice himself for his best friend.
"Sonic please!!! Don't do this please!!!" Ashley said while tears streams out. "Well then bye, bye Sonic" Elijah said as he aims his gun at his chest where his heart is.
Sonic closes his eyes and thought that he'll never wake up but suddenly Ashley came out of nowhere and the bullet hit her chest.
"NOOO!!!!!"
"BABE! WAKE UP!!"
Sonic sat up panting from the same nightmare as before. He look to his side and saw his boyfriend Shadow there, all concerned.
"What happened?" Sonic ask. "You had an nightmare and you were yelling in your sleep" Shadow answered all concerned. "Oh..." Sonic said. "What happened?" Shadow ask. "Just nothing" Sonic said.
"Okay... What do you wanna eat?" Shadow ask. "I'm not hungry yet... Maybe later?" Sonic said. "Uhh sure, I'm going to work now" Shadow said. "Arlight, have fun! Tell Rouge and Gadget that I said hi" Sonic said.
Shadow laughs and kisses his forehead. "I love you... Have a good day, Love" Shadow said and kisses his hand. "Have fun" Sonic said as he left.
From the moment when he left the house he went to the attic and gotten an old box. Inside were pictures of Sonic when he was a kid. He then pick up a picture of him and his beloved childhood best friend Ashley.
He stared at it for a long time... Then he said...
"I wish you were here, my friend..."
