A cutie with witch eyes.
Meow, meow
You didn't mention this," Mike said, forcing a smile while his mind raced.
Kate, laughed and placed the cat down gently.
"Relax, bae. This is Sofie, my colleague Nova's cat. She asked me to watch her for two days as a Favor. She's dealing with some stuff in court, and her divorce case in Florida court is stressing her out, She is really scared about leaving Sofie alone. I couldn't say no." I didn't think you'd have a problem with that."
Michael's eyes narrowed as the cat rubbed against the furniture.
"Problem? Nah,
Kate, you know I'm allergic to cats," he replied, his voice edged with frustration.
Kate listing her head, recalling their earlier conversations.
"No, bae, you're allergic to milk. Shellfish. Hamsters. Cats, soy. Peanuts." She paused, her brow furrowing. "Wait... oh, right, cats? I forgot you're not just allergic you're also scared of them."
Alfred, now sitting cross-legged on the floor, was playfully rubbing the cat's large belly, laughing as Sofie stretched out with contentment.
Meow, meo......w
"Dude," Alfred laughs wide, "you're scared of this cute little bunny? I mean, look at her! She's harmless!"
Michael shot him a glare. "I'm not scared,"
"I just hate cats. They're unpredictable, and .."He stopped mid-sentence, watching the cat eye him suspiciously from across the room.
"...And it's a little bit scary"
Kate sighed and crossed her arms, giving him a patient look. "Mike, come on. She's just staying 2 nights. Can you handle that?
Michael clenched his jaw, deciding his next words. "Nope"Kate sighed, walking over to Michael and giving him a cute expression. "Be a sport, Mike. Sofie's just staying with us for two days, tops. Please just be chill about it. I didn't have any other option,".
Michael looked at the fluffy cat who was now rolling around on the floor, batting at one of Alfred's shoelaces. "Two days?" he muttered, still clearly unhappy.
Kate nodded. "I promise, two days. That's it."
Alfred smiling as he watched Sofie play. "Come on, Mike. It's just a couple of days. What's the worst that could happen? She's cute and harmless."
Michael sighed, "Okay, okay, just two days. It's fine. I can deal with it."
Kate wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a hug. "Thanks, Bae!"
She leaned in and kissed him on the lips, her soft touch instantly lowering some of his frustration.
Meowwwwwww....
Michael felt something brush against his leg. His eyes ran down to see Sofie, the fluffy Persian cat, rubbing up against him with a soft purr, her blue eyes blinking up at him innocently.
"Ugh, great," Michael moaned.
"She likes you already!" Kate teased, smiling as Sofie continued to rub up against Michael.
Michael eyed the cat warily. "Yeah, I didn't see this coming," he muttered, hesitating before reaching down to give Sofie a gentle touch. "Maybe cats are not so..."
Before he could finish, Sofie suddenly swatted his hand with her tiny paw.
"Pffft!" Pffft
Michael reacted, more startled than hurt.
"What the fuck?" He quickly pulled his hand back, shaking it off as if the scratch had wounded his pride more than his skin.
Kate burst into laughter. Pffft! Looks like she hates you."
"Dude, even the cat doesn't like your initial approach," Alfred joked, still giggling.
"But hey, once she gets to know you, she'll fall for you too just like Kate did."
He burst into laughter, clearly enjoying himself.
Meow....... Meow......
Kate giggled, nudging Michael playfully. "Don't worry, bae. You've got two whole days to win her heart."
Michael sighed dramatically. "Thanks for your wisdom, cat whisperer."
As Kate approached the cat, Michael's eyes widened .
"Don't......don't! She's a monster!" Mike shouted, stepping back dramatically.
Kate laughed, kneeling beside Sofie. "Oh, stop it. She's not a predator."
Kate's fingers were gently licked by Sofie's soft tongue. Kate smiled and began stroking Sofie's fur.
"See? She's a cutie."
Still eyeing the cat suspiciously, Michael muttered, "Yeah, a cutie with witch eyes."
Meow Meow Meow Meow....... Meow......
to be continued...
