The morning after Taehyung and Vivaan had moved back into the Jeon house was deceptively calm. The atmosphere seemed lighter, as if everyone was trying to pretend that things had gone back to normal. But under the surface, tensions simmered, especially within Jin, whose bitter feelings toward Taehyung hadn't fully dissolved.

The family gathered around the dining table for breakfast. Namjoon poured himself a cup of tea, while Jungkook busied himself with feeding Vivaan, who was perched happily in his father's lap. Taehyung sat quietly, observing the scene, his nerves still on edge after their return. He wanted to believe that this was a fresh start, but there was an unease he couldn't shake.

Jin, standing by the stove, stirred a pot of dal with a focused expression. His face was carefully neutral, but Taehyung noticed the slight twitch in his jaw every time Jungkook spoke to him. He knew it was only a matter of time before something would break the peace.

As Taehyung reached for some parathas, Jin's voice cut through the air.

Jin: "You know, bahu, in this house, we don't waste food. I noticed you left a lot of rice on your plate last night. That's not how we do things here."

The words were sharp, though spoken under the guise of concern. Taehyung froze for a moment, realizing that Jin was trying to make a point—something small, yet calculated. He glanced at Jungkook, who was busy with Vivaan and hadn't noticed.

Taehyung: "I didn't mean to waste it, maaji. I'll be more careful next time."

Jin (nodding coldly): "I hope so. We all have to respect the culture of this family."

Namjoon, sensing the tension, attempted to steer the conversation to lighter ground.

Namjoon: "Jungkook, why don't you and bahu take Vivaan to the park later? It might be nice to get some fresh air after being cooped up for so long."

Jungkook (gratefully): "That sounds like a good idea, papa. I'm sure Vivaan would love it."

Jin didn't comment further, but Taehyung could feel his mother-in-law's eyes watching him closely for the rest of the meal.

Behind Closed Doors

Later that afternoon, Jin sought out Namjoon in the study. He closed the door behind him, his face serious.

Jin: "suniye, I'm trying to make this work for our son's sake, but I don't trust Taehyung."

Namjoon looked up from his paperwork, frowning.

Namjoon: "You said you would try, Jin. Bahu is our family now, and this hostility is only going to make things worse. Don't forget he gave us heir."

Jin (frustrated): "It's not just hostility. He doesn't fit in. He's not one of us. Did you see how he couldn't even finish a plate of food last night? That's basic respect in our culture. He doesn't understand."

Namjoon sighed heavily, leaning back in his chair.

Namjoon: "You're nitpicking. We agreed to give him a chance, and that means letting go of these small things. The bigger picture is what matters."

Jin (voice lowering): "You don't see it the way I do. If we're not careful, he's going to tear this family apart."

Namjoon stared at him, his face softening.

Namjoon: "The only person tearing this family apart, Jin, is you. If you can't let go of your pride, you'll be the one driving Jungkook and Taehyung away."
