Bill's brow furrowed, and he shook his head.

B-Now, Yn, you know how dangerous the outside world is. It's far too risky for you to be venturing out, even for these color bombs you speak of. Look at you, you're as fragile as a flower.

Y-But Daddy, please?

I pressed, my lower lip trembling.

Y-I'll be so careful, I promise! And I have my powers to protect me. Can't I just go for a little while? Just to see the color bom-...fireworks? You can take me.

Paing sighed, gathering me into his arms.

P-Hush, my sweet. You know we only want to keep you safe. The world is a cruel, unforgiving place - there are people out there who would do you harm, who would try to steal your magic. We couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to you. You know why we stay up knowing the castle-

Y-Ik but-

P-That's right.

He said grabbing my face, his thumb dragging across the bottom.

P-To keep you safe and sound.

I slumped in his embrace, my joyful demeanor deflating.

Y-I understand

I said, dejectedly. I knew it was pointless.

Y-I just...I wish I could see them, just once. It feels so close, but so far away.

Bill tsked sympathetically, stroking my hair.

B-I know, my dear. But your safety must come first. Perhaps next year, hmm?

He placed a gentle kiss on my forehead.

B-We knew that soon, you would want to leave the nest, but this is too soon, my flower.

Y-I just want to leave for a day, I was gonna come back-

Paing shook his head now.

P-What do we always say?

I sighed. I really though this year would be different.

Y-₫₳₫₫¡es know best.

He smiled approvingly, before kissing my lips again, but I don't kiss back until the last peck.

B-Now, why don't you tell us more about your day? We'd love to hear all about it. Until we reach the room.

Forcing a smile, I began recounting my activities reluctantly, my heart remained heavy.
