-Rui Pov-

I glared out onto the path as the pathetic specimen of a man keeps rocking side to side behind me, his hands bound behind his back.

Kristian Kyivsky, the infamous Prince of Volynia, was proving to be even more of a spoiled, whiny brat than I had anticipated.

K-Are we there yet?

He whined for the thousandth time, his brow furrowed in an exaggerated pout.

K-My hands are starting to ache, and the wind is simply dreadful. It's going to ruin my hair!

I had to resist the urge to throttle him then and there.

R-Shut your trap, your highness

I growled, my fingers itching to reach for my dagger.

K-We'll get there when we get there.

My sister, Siying, shot me a pointed look, her expression calm and collected as always.

S-Patience, Rui

She said.

S-The client wants him alive and unharmed, remember?

I let out a frustrated huff.

R-Yeah, yeah, I know. But this guy is really starting to test my limits.

-Rui Pov-

Kristian opened his mouth to complain again, but Siying silenced him with a raised hand.

S-Save your breath, your highness. The sooner you cooperate, the sooner this will all be over.

The prince regarded us warily, his eyes narrowing.

K-And where exactly are you taking me?

He demanded.

K-I'll have you know, my father will have your heads for this!

I scoffed, forcing myself not to k¡11 a prince.

R-Big words for a man in your position. Your daddy's money and influence won't do you any good where we're going.

Siying sighed.

S-We're simply fulfilling a contract, your highness,

She explained calmly.

S-Our client has requested your... immediate relocation, shall we say.

Kristian's eyes widened in alarm.

K-Contract? Relocation? What is the meaning of this?

He struggled against his bonds, his voice strain.
