Qi Yanning's gaze swept over Ling Changzhou's body carefully, as if he could see every inch of muscle beneath his clothes.

This made Ling Changzhou, who had been standing relaxed, instantly tense up. His thin lips pressed slightly together, and the tips of his ears turned so red they looked as if they might start bleeding.

"Relax," Qi Yanning's cold fingertips landed on Ling Changzhou's bare arm, exposed by his rolled-up sleeves. He felt the firm muscles tighten for a moment before they relaxed.

Qi Yanning smiled slightly, his eyes sweeping over Ling Changzhou's now slightly flushed face, meeting his gaze directly.

Ling Changzhou didn't avoid the eye contact, instead meeting Qi Yanning's stare.

His expression betrayed a hint of embarrassment, but his gaze held an underlying, barely restrained intensity hidden beneath a calm exterior.

Qi Yanning raised an eyebrow.

Interesting.

He shifted his gaze and turned around, asking the director, "Where are the clothes and props?"

The director, having been silenced by the strange atmosphere between the two, spoke up eagerly, relieved to break the tension. "Over there are the first batch of clothes we purchased for the show, and over there are accessories and makeup products."

Qi Yanning looked in the direction he indicated.

The clothing area was crammed with all sorts of outfits, none of which looked particularly eye-catching, some even appearing cheap. But with just one glance, he spotted several pieces that had appeared in recent fashion show videos he had been watching.

The accessory section was in better shape, at least neatly organized. However, several high-end brand accessories were crammed into small compartments.

Qi Yanning frowned.

The previous makeup artist...

How did they manage to pair such good items with such disastrous results on the show?

The director gave a wry smile as he explained.

Because this show's budget was quite generous, he had allocated a substantial amount to the makeup team. The previous makeup artist had spent the entire budget on high-end clothes and accessories, leaving no money for other aspects of the wardrobe.

As a result, during the initial theme song performance, the makeup team could only come up with cheap, poorly tailored clothes to make up for the budget shortfall, leading to the disaster that had been ridiculed across the internet.

It was partly the director's fault for trusting the previous makeup artist too much.

Qi Yanning nodded to show he understood. He didn't rush to speak, instead carefully inspecting all the clothes in the room.

He focused specifically on the suits.

Although Ling Changzhou was dressed simply in casual clothes today, looking like a university student, Qi Yanning keenly sensed the commanding aura he exuded.

This kind of aura paired perfectly with a suit.

After some thought, he pulled out a set of ash-gray suits from the rack, along with a black shirt and black tie.

"Go put it on," Qi Yanning casually tossed the clothes into Ling Changzhou's arms, issuing the order lightly.

Ling Changzhou looked at the suit, surprise flickering in his eyes.

This was exactly the style he preferred when going to work! It seemed he and this makeup artist at least shared similar tastes.

He smiled faintly and obediently took the clothes to the dressing room.
