"let's go" Bella Said to him.... "let's?" Scott said stopping in his tracks. "I clearly said it duh"shesaid and he scoffed "I love your guts" he said to her and she flashed him a smile "trust me I hate yours" she said to him while they walked in they both walked to his kitchen. "have you even cooked here before" she asked him while slipping her hands out of his hands. He didn't reply she went to the fridge only drinks, water and some canned foods. "seriously Scott" she said to him looking at him "I was thinking of employing a cook" he finally said and she scoffed. "so the legendary Scott Hastings doesn't......" the rest of what she said was stopped since Scott covered her mouth with his hands she widened her eyes since this was the first time they were this close she stared at him who was looking at her with a tint of amusement an idea came to her and she bit his hand "what the?" he said immediately retracting his hand. "the owner.... He was still saying.  " shut up you just disrespected me"  she said interrupting him Scott looked sort of amused "I disrespected you?" he said to her "yeah obviously" she replied and he scoffed "you didn't get bitten by me" he said to her "but you still disrespected me" she argued further he scoffed "yeah I'm not doing this" he said before walking to the sitting room she smiled lightly while rinsing a glass and getting bottled water and carried it to the sitting room he was busy using his phone she placed it on the table and opened the water then poured some in to the glass. He looked at her "where's the medicine?" she asked him he opened it and took a capsule while she handed him the glass of water. "I'm leaving now take care" she said
"sure" he replied while she left. Scott ran his hands through his hair, he couldn't get his mind off her "Scott just fuckin focus" he muttered then went through the file he asked his assistant to get him which contained bella's details he went through it and found out her parents were late, nothing suspicious except it seemed like it was the work of an assassin "weird" he muttered carrying the file upstairs to his study. He got a phone call from his mum "hi mum" he just said.     "you haven't been home for like 4 days now, where are you? Did you go on a trip without telling me?" she asked him Scott just pinched an eyebrow."which one should I answer" he asked her... "Scott!" she yelled and he Immediately pulled the phone away from his ear then placed it back "mum,  first don't do that... ever,...... And how did you know?" he asked her in a low tone he suspected that she had his workers at his house spy on him but she just proved his suspicion true. She didn't reply. "well actually I moved out because I felt like I was being watched which you just confirmed now" Scott said blankly. "look I'm sorry but what do you want me to do? I wanted to be sure you're eating normally, now I don't even know if you've eaten" she said in a worried tone Scott heaved a sigh "I told you not to worry about me I'm fine just take care of yourself mum I'm quite busy so I'll call you later and I promise I'm okay I've already eaten today" he said to her so she wouldn't be worried his dad actually divorced her to marry Jake's mother "okay take care" his mom said he just made a sound of agreement before ending the call.
While Bella did some work in her garden before she freshened up and went to her study she checked her chat with her p.a he couldn't find any information about Scott Hastings his records were too clean one part of her was annoyed the other was happy (don't ask me why😏)
"what about sending a spy to his company or home" Bella suggested.. "it's not that easy don't you remember what happened with Carl" he sent to her. "okay but I think he trusts me so I'll try to get info from him" she texted him "yeah but be careful he's dangerous" her assistant texted him.
            Later at night                             
Bella had already eaten dinner and couldn't sleep she briefly wondered what Scott was doing before wondering why she thought about him now "I must be getting sick" she muttered to herself while getting up and heading to her balcony she spotted Scott sitting casually he was wearing a loose trouser and a loose fitting top, his hair was slightly ruffled and his black eyes seemed to glitter under the moonlight that was when she realized that he was staring at her. "I didn't think you'd like watching the night sky" she finally said. "there are a lot you don't know about me" he replied her casually. "have you eaten" she asked him "woah a shooting star" Scott said and she looked up then scoffed. "I can't believe I fell for that.. Nice try" she said and he smirked. "I know you haven't eaten yet, you can come over" she said to him and he looked at her "and if it's poisoned" Scott said casually. "if I really wanted to kill you I'd have done that when you were sick and vulnerable" she said to him Scott had an amused facial expression "I was kidding... Why will you even want to kill me in the first place" Scott said so innocently that Bella was feeling guilty he jumped over to her balcony and they headed into her house together they got to the dining and she served him some food he was about to eat it when " wait" Bella said then tasted the food you won't say I poisoned it "    she said to him he smirked and started eating, he ate only a little though and that kinda pissed Bella." you ate quite little are you on a diet or something?" she asked on their way to her balcony" "something" Scott said and she looked at him "at least explain what you mean" she said to him.  "oh I don't like eating at night" he said.     "you could have just told me" she said to him. "if I had just told you no thanks you'll feel I don't trust you" Scott said in a low tone. "Since when do you care about people's feelings" Bella asked him while scanning his face with her eyes he looked surprised "seriously Bella who do you see me as" he finally asked "the son of a murderer who is just as heartless as his father" she said in her mind then looked at him "someone with dual personality" she finally said and he scoffed. "you're describing your self" he said to her when they got to her balcony yeah Bella knew she could be very serious and also playful. "have you taken your medicine" she asked him and he looked away she pushed his head lightly "that was my time I spent following you to get that" she said feigning anger "I don't remember begging you, you offered to go" Scott said plainly "I didn't want to" Bella said. "you clearly threw yourself at me you begged me to come to your house" Scott said "I remember clearly you were the helpless one" Bella said, Scott looked amused. "so you're finding this funny" Bella said.
"do I need to remind you I don't have memory loss I was about to enter my place when you pulled me back, who threw herself now huh?" Scott said and Bella was momentarily speechless "I figured out you intentionally caught a cold that day so you could spend time with me" Bella said not knowing what else to say he was getting it wrong. He started laughing 😂 this was the first time she was seeing him laugh but to think he was laughing at her sort of hurt her he finally stopped laughing. "you were kidding right?" he said in a mocking way which hurt her further, "forgive me for being compassionate I should have just let you die then...... and I'm sorry for offering to help you" she said and started walking away to her room. "Bella wait" Scott said she ignored him a closed the door to her balcony and went to her bathroom and sprinkled her face with water "I threw myself at him.... that is what he saw me as" she muttered before drying her face with a towel. She walked back to her room and began to use her laptop. "maybe I should have killed him then" she thought to herself......................................
