I watched Five rummaging through the kitchen, pulling open cabinet doors and muttering under his breath. "Looking for something?" I asked, leaning against the counter.

He shot me a glare, clearly annoyed at the interruption. Just then, Allison walked in, holding her coat in her hand as she joined us.

"Where's Vanya?" she asked, looking around.

"Gone," Klaus replied from his spot at the table, not bothering to look up.

"She left about an hour ago," I added, still observing Five as he continued his fruitless search.

"That's unfortunate," Five said, not sounding the least bit concerned. "Yeah," Allison replied, her eyes drifting toward him.

Five paused for a moment, shoving his hands into his pockets. Then his gaze landed on me. "Is that my jacket?" he asked, his brow furrowing slightly as he gestured to the oversized coat draped over my shoulders.

I looked down, pretending to be innocent. "What? This old thing? I just found it lying around in your closet"

"Seriously, don't you have your own closet?" he replied, raising an eyebrow.

"I just figured this jacket would look better on me than it did on you"

I watched as Five scoffed at my words before he resumed rummaging through the kitchen, frustration evident on his face. "An entire square block, forty-two bedrooms, nineteen bathrooms, but not a single drop of coffee?" he complained with a sarcastic smile.

"Dad hated coffee," Allison replied.

"Well, he hated children, too, and he had plenty of us," Klaus's statement made me chuckle quietly. "Touché, really," I replied with a giggle.

Five rolled his eyes at us. "I'm taking the car."

Klaus instantly shifted into 'overprotective brother mode.' "Where are you going?"

"To get a decent cup of coffee," Five replied, his tone dismissive.

"Do you even know how to drive?" Allison asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I know how to do everything," Five shot back before he spiraled away, leaving me, Klaus, and Allison standing there.

I sighed, shaking my head as I turned to look over my shoulder at my shadow, which shrugged in response. I jerked my head slightly, signaling for my shadow to follow Five. Instantly, my shadow detached from me and slipped away to track him down.
