"This tale I tell to you, listen close, pay attention and the solution to your curiosity shall be given to you"
"your highness you are needed downstairs the Queen calls for you" the voice of the servant rang through the door as the male groaned sliding out of the bed and falling in the process with a loud thud,
"your highness is everything alright" the same voice called out with a worried tone but he quickly dismissed the servant slowly stretching out and cautiosly stepped out of his room and descended the large row of stairs with his mother at the bottom with a visible scowl and her hands folded across her chest, her legs tapped against the marble floor showing that she was clearly impatient and annoyed at her son's behaviour,
"what have you been doing up there" she asked her voice harsh as she pointed upwards and the boy just stared at the floor as he fidgeted with his fingers in front of him
"ugh just go back up and get ready we have to meet with the others, we're already late as it is" she finally finished in a frustrated tone and he dashed up the stairs without saying a word, sometimes these were the times he wished his father was around more often.
"get in we don't have much time" the Queen said as her face remained calm but her voice commanding and the young male rushed in heading for the end of the carraige, in hopes of peeking out of the curtains once in a while, and after the Queen had entered after a long time of puuling her dress and her into the carriage they were on their way but the hopes of seeing the natural beauty had been caught like a fish in a net when his mother had began
"you have to be on your best behavior, and I would appreciate it if you communicate more with the other princes"
but too focused on the mesmirising beauty of their travel path absent mindedly answered and not before long the sky had turned gray and uninviting contrast to the blue sky they had grown accustomed to, making the carriage stop and in a few seconds the coachman had gotten to the window of the Queen
"your majesty the weather doesn't seem friendly and I've received information that there is an inn we can rest there till the weather clears out"
the driver said and the Queen just let out an exaspherated sigh before turning to the boy
"if you hadn't been so slow we would have beat the weather" she said and turned back to the coachman
"let's get before the weather meets us" she said in a tone that got the male agitated knowing the stentence was diretcted at him
after all the pullings and adjusting especially with the Queen they finally got into the shady looking inn that kept the male jump at every creak and squeak and that didn't go unnoticed by the Queen
"would you stop acting silly or do you want me to do it for you" she said annoyed as she tried to get herself comfortable on the wooden chair "I-I'm s-sor-ry moth-mother"
the boy stuttered finally speaking after all that had happened the guilt slowly getting to him and his mother had not missed the chance to remind him of the reason they were in any dilemma and it was not something he was getting used to
"your majesty the weather doesn't seem to die down should I send a message to them to inform them of our absence"
the driver suggested and the Queen let out another sigh tensing the male again the whole day had been against him
"why don't you write since you got us in this mess" the Queen made her own suggestion turning to her son that she couldn't swap for anything else but unfortunately she couldn't
"okay your highness you write the letter" the coachman said offering him the writing materials to write the letter but the prince still reeling in shock at his mother's suggestion
"mo-but .....I ca-n't ..,..write,I-It's no-t, I-I'm not" the boy' s stuttering made the Queen's anger rise
"SHUT IT, AND SHUT UP, YOU will pick up the feather and put down words on that thing, UNDERSTAND, GOOD!!"
she screamed and the boy scrambled picking up the feather and he started putting down words as his mother had instructed leaving the coachman staring at the whole scene unfolding in amazement at the not so mother and son moment while he tried his best to keep a straight face
After the wholesome moment the prince had successfully finished the letter, and it was ready to be delivered when a drenched figure barged in through the doors making everyone turn their head towards the human
"Y-you-your Ma-jes-ty t-the le-tter is ad-drea-" and once again the stuttering angered the Queen and she didn't let the male finish his sentence and picked up the paper from his hands and she impatiently as always tore the letter open and reading the contents in it
Dear Queen Leticia,
I hope this letter finds you well and your family, this letter is to inform you about the weather and about the summit we have decided to extend the date and you would not need to attend the one of the scheduled date we will send you the new date, thank you for your understanding
sincerely Prince George
"WHAT IN THE- HOW IN THE UNIVERSE IS THIS HAPPENING AFTER EVERYTHING AND AFTER ALL THIS,"
the Queen screamed in frustration and the stress and the rest could only watch in horror
"And you" the Queen said in a dark undertone making the messenger flinch from where he had been shivering "How stupid can you be, IT WAS A SIMPLE JOB AND YOU CHOSE TO TREAT ME THIS WAY"
she paused and paced around the frightened messager, his heart beating loudly in his chest
"I'd rather not inform you what your punishment will be but you will be with me for a long time"
the Queen said darkly and everything that the messager had held close to his heart had come crumbling like a pile of sticks was this the end.
