This takes place during the Christmas special scene. Happens right after the villains gifts capture the crew.
How could we have been so stupid? That's all the crew could think when the gifts they got from the villains were actually tricks to capture them. While they were struggling against the traps, the villains all gathered as they put the last of their plan to work.
"Time to share the best gift~!" Zach says, holding a little gift box. He and the rest of the villains laughed evilly at their idea, before looking at the captured Martin and Chris, who looked at them angrily. "Hey Wild rats, I know we have the animals, but how about this? You two give up on animal rescuing and we'll free the animals."
The brothers growl at him and the thought of leaving the crew. "Never, we would never give up on our friends!" Chris snarks, giving the biggest death glares he's ever made.
"And we'd never trust you enough," Martin continued, with the same look of anger, "Especially after this!"
The villains laughed at that, before opening the gift. Inside was a duel pair of necklaces. They were black with the red symbol of Varmitech. "Well, I won't be so sure about that~ Zach bots, now!"
The Zach bots grab onto the brothers, shocking them and the crew. The brothers tried to struggle out of them, but the Zach bots were too strong. Then, Donita sends her mannequins to grab the necklaces and walk towards the brothers. Before they knew it, the necklaces were put on them, the V glowing red.
The necklaces produced an electric like shock, shocking the brothers in loads of pain. They felt their minds slipping away, the only thing in their minds was do what master Varmitech says. After a couple seconds of wincing and struggling, the brothers finally relaxed, but not before opening their eyes, now red in color.
The crew look at the brothers in fear and concern. What just happened? "Bros, are you ok?" Aviva asks, but she didn't get a response.
The Zach bots let go of the brothers and the mannequins free them from their original traps. "Brothers, come over here." Zach says, with a wicked smile. The brothers go to Zach's side, shocking the crew, and angering Aviva. "Zach, what did you do with our friends?!" She asks, angered that he did something to him.
Zach laughed in glee. "As if I'd ever tell you!" He then gives his first order to the brothers. "Kratt brothers! Redecorate our shopping tree, while we take care of some animal lovers."
Martin and Chris nod in unison. "Yes Master Varmitech."
The villains were surprised by this, they didn't expect them to call Zach their master. The crew were horrified hearing this, the brothers would never be caught dead calling Zach a master. After a minute, Zach had a smile on his face, liking what they called him. "Master~ Finally some respect!" He points at the Zach bots, before commanding them, "Send those rats away, we don't need them ruining our plans again."
The Zach bots picked them up as the crew try to struggle out, but it was no use. They looked towards Martin and Chris, who looks at them with their now soulless eyes, as if they didn't recognize them. Tears sprung in the crews eyes as they reach out, "NOOO!!!" The door to the Tortuga closes, leaving the V-Kratts to their new master now.
Zach looks at the new brothers. "Well, why're you just standing there?" The brothers looked like they were contemplating if they should do the order or not. Zach was prepared and pressed the button, shocking the brothers. They yelp in pain. "Redecorate the tree!!"
After feeling the shock, their reason for contemplating was forgotten and they said, "Yes, Master Varmitech." They grab a snowy owl feather, before saying in a soulless voice, "Activate, Snowy Owl power." They turned into Snowy Owls and went to work.
(After this, it's the same scene when the crew is left on the ice block, just Martin and Chris aren't there)

When the villains returned, they saw the brothers have quickly finished decorating the tree due to their owl forms. Once they were done, they flew back down to Zach and turn back into human, saying, "The tree is finished, Master Varmitech, all varmits are secure."
Zach and the villains look at the tree in pure amazement and joy. "Excellent, now no one would interfere with our Christmas plans again!" Zach claims, though he should stop doing that cause he's a jinx at this point.
He and the other villains did an evil laugh, now no one would mess with them ever again. Zach then heads to the brothers. "Now, Chris and Martin."
The corrupted brothers stood still, waiting for their masters next command. "Make sure those animal lovers don't rescue the baby animals again." Zach says, pointing at the tree.
The brothers nod. "Yes, Master Varmitech." Chris pulls out a Paragon falcon feather and both he and his brother touch it, and press their suits. "Activate, Paragon Falcon power."
They transform into Paragon Falcons and fly up to the tree and wait. They use their sights to look for any intruders that may try to free the animals. The villains happily leave them to it, now no one can stop them now. A few minutes later, however, a voice was heard by no one, but was still adamant to this story.
"Martin? Chris?"
