Capture and protecter

"Where are you?!" Paulanci shouted from Ventus's phone. Ventus was packing her stuff to visit her adoptive family for her Christmas party. She invited all her friends, boyfriend and forever friends too. She told Paulanci to leave before her since it's her holiday break and wanted her to catch up with Sideswipe.

Ventus rolled her eyes. "I'm almost done Pup, just need to pack a few more things, hold your Pupadians" She puts in her bag of crystals as Paulanci continued.

"Well you better hurry! We're almost ready for them party and you know what Strongarm and Drift are like if behind schedule." Ventus had finished packing everything and held the teleportation crystal.

"I'll be there Pup, don't worry. See ya at the party." She hung up her phone and left the door, going to find a spot to travel from, when she saw the Tortuga landing nearby.

Wanting to say goodbye one more time to her friends before the party, she ran towards the Tortuga to see her friends, but what she saw instead was shocking to her. The Kratt brothers were with Zach and the villains, seeming to be under a spell of some kind and....Wait is that a tree with baby animals?! Ventus was confused and horrified at the same time. What did they do to them? The villains were setting stuff up as the brothers look from the tree. She had to know what was going on. She cautiously asks, "Martin? Chris?"

The brothers, still inn their paragon falcon power, look at Ventus blankly, as if not recognizing her. Then, without warning, they flew down an attacked her, not leaving her time to transform. As Martin held her in his claw, Ventus was struggling to get free, and was baffled at her friends doing this. "Martin, what are you doing?! Release me now!" She shouted, wondering what was going on in his and Chris's heads.

Martin growled, sneering, "Quiet shifter! Master Varmitech would love a creature like you on his tree."

"He's gonna make thousands with this fleabag." Chris added, leaving Ventus even more shocked. Her friends have never, in the history of ever, called her a fleabag. Something was definitely wrong.

"Guys, it's me, your friend!" Ventus says, trying to get her friends to snap out of it. "What's going on with you two, and why are you working for the coward punching bag?!" Oh the V-Kratts were not happy with that last line.

So much that Martin used his claw to scratch her shoulder, causing a bit of her clothing to tear. She was so surprised that she didn't react a lot when she was suddenly put in a glass cage. She wanted to escape, but her powers won't do much to it. Martin scowled, "Don't talk about our master like that! Now, be a good shifter, fleabag, and stay in your cage."

Zach came up to the brothers with more cages, seeing the brothers with a new cage and looking at a new creature with anger. "Brothers!," The Kratt's immediately stood up straight in attention. "What did you find?"

"A beastshifter, master. She was in the perimeter!" Chris says, giving Zach full view of Ventus, who was still shocked and confused that they're calling Zach master!

Zach's eyes fill with surprise yet excitement. They either caught annoying animal number one, or number two. He came up and saw it was annoying number one. "Oh, it's you again? Hah, what a surprise!" He says, poking at the glass cage. (Don't worry, it has air holes, Ventus can breath)

Ventus scowled at him, looking at the brothers again, realizing something. The necklaces they wore had Varmitech symbols on them, and their eyes were pure red, not a hint of brown or blue in sight. She put two and two together and glared even more. "What did you do to them?" She asked, a scowl in her voice.

Zach smirked as he said, "Just added a couple of reprogramming to their heads. They work for me now, and you'll have to deal with it! Kratt's, we got the pose beam device, now you can put up the rest of the animals!" Zach picked up Spot Swat and put him back in the cage. "Hang up the spotty cat, up there!"
