Hunter, Crosshair, Tec, and Wrecker were walking back to their barracks after an afternoon of battle training and physical exercises. Tec was trying to tell Wrecker what he could've done better while Crosshair edged them into a fight.
"All I'm saying, Wrecker, is that if you'd flipped the droid over your head instead of slamming it against the wall, you would have come out with fewer bruises."
Wrecker frowned, "Huh? What's wrong with a few bruises? Besides if I flip it over my head it won't be able to fight back."
"Exactly!" Tec explodes, "It seems Tec, doesn't think you can defend yourself." Crosshair smirks, Wrecker's eyes widen then he glares at Tec, "I can fight way better than you Tec!"
Tec rolls his eyes, "You may be strong, but out of the two of us the probability of you out living me is quite low. 12% to be exact." Wrecker pulled him into a headlock and gave him a noogie.
"You take that back!" Crosshair snickers as he watches, Hunter turns around to see why the rest of his squad had stopped walking and rolled his eyes even as he laughed on the inside.
"Wrecker, drop him. We don't want to give the regs anymore reasons to pick on us." Wrecker considered this for a moment then let his brother go, but not before licking his finger and touching Tec's face with it before running away with a cackle of glee.
...Dinner in the cadets mess hall was noisy and full of food fights and laughter. I look in and wish I could sink into the floor beneath me. La Na Sïghl was behind me, his long slender hands resting gently on my shoulders.
"Do not worry Ria, the cadets will not hurt you." He assures me, I twist to face him, "Why do I have to join them at meals now? Can't I just stay with you and Na La sai? Besides, they don't want a girl ruining their fun."
He shakes his head, "I am sorry my child, but the Prime Minister believes you have grown too attached to me. I know you think you won't fit in because you are a female clone, but you have nothing to fear. Look there are some genetically modified clones right over there, and they look perfectly happy. Why don't you go join them?"
He gave me a small nudge in a direction but my feet stayed firmly planted. "B-but... what do I say? Will they even know what I am?" He sighs and kneels to be eye level with the young teenage clone,
"Just be yourself, and I'm sure they will know you're a girl. They may not know you are a clone since you weren't cloned from Jango Fett, but I'm sure everything will work out fine. Now go on, I will see you after dinner."
I sigh in defeat and finally march into the mess hall with my head held high. Grabbing a tray I get some food and start scanning the area for an empty table. All I see are manny eyes staring at me in shock and confusion till I spy an empty table in the back corner.
I make a beeline for it, trying to ignore the stares and whispers. I sit down in releaf with my back pressed against the corner watching the clones around me. I just have to stay here for thirty-ish minutes, then I can go back to fath- uh, La Na Sïghl.
I begin to eat slowly, keeping my eyes trained on my food. I hear footsteps approaching, just keep eating, maybe they'll pass by. Four clones around my age, maybe a few years older, sit down next to me.
"Can I help you?" I ask, "Yes, we were wondering who are you? What are you? And what are you doing here?" The one sitting in front of me asks, "I will only answer one of your questions."
I reply, the boys hold a quick huddled conference then turn back to me. "Alright fine, we're guessing you're another GMC, and we don't really have to know your name, so what are you doing here?"
