A puppy was being protected by his mother on the road as it was crossing it. Many vehicles passed but the mother protected the baby well. It was regular. They lived near a garbage dump. It was on the corner of the road so they crossed it frequently. They were surviving there with a lot of struggles.
The puppy was growing while learning about it's world. The big creatures, the smaller ones and the even smaller ones. What things are edible and what are not. Most big creatures, the one on 2 legs with weird things on their body, are dangerous but some are good. They travel in fast moving boxes of different colours on the road.
One day on the road a biker was on the wrong side of the road. A car was approaching as the biker was speeding to reach the part where there wasn't a divider. It was far. The biker was unable to reach it in time but he was saved. The person driving the car took a turn when he suddenly saw the biker and crashed on the corner of the road. The biker saw the accident and got away.
The pup's mother was crushed. Her blood was on the puppy and around. Her organs fell on the ground and the body split apart. The driver got off and the pup was barking and pushing against the car trying to lift it off of it's mother.
The driver saw it and took his car backwards. He saw the dead mother dog lying there. The pup started barking and trying to attack the driver while crying but his teeth weren't strong enough to pierce through the shoes. The pup soon fainted.
Later when the pup wake up. It saw a bowl in front of him filled with something to eat. It smelled the thing and licked it and started eating it. After eating it there was another bowl with water in it. It drank the water quickly and then looked up. He found himself at an unknown place.
He was surrounded by big walls and two little versions of the big creatures were looking at it. It was confused and shocked. It started barking and the little versions of the big creatures ran off and climbed up the bed while shouting. The big creatures appeared. Two of them.
The one with black fur on its face said something in his language and the the other one with long furs on its head smiled and tried to approach the pup. They started calling the pup with a name. Soon the pup understood that when those creatures said "Furr" they were referring to the pup itself.
The pup was afraid of them so it didn't let them approach it and barked at them if they tried to come close. They gave it food and water on time and neither put him in a cage not tied a belt around its neck. The pup was free inside the house. They tried to wash Furr but Furr didn't let them approach.
They cleaned whatever message Furr made let it be his excretions, the mat he destroyed with his teeth, the water he spill or the food he scattered here and there. In just a day, Furr realised these big creatures aren't as scary as the ones he saw on the road and that they mean him no harm.
At night when they went to sleep. The kids slept together while their parents cuddled them. Seeing the family, it reminded Furr of his mother and he started crying as he sat on the corner, tucking his paws and legs in.
The man got up and saw him. He came near him. Furr noticed him but didn't bark this time. The man slowly approached him and took him up. The man took him to the bathroom. He cleaned him up gently while keeping in mind not to hurt the baby in any way.
After the bath was complete and Furr was now all clean and tidy. The man put him between the two kids and the little girl hugged him and at that moment, Furr felt like home. He felt the human warmth. He wanted more of it. They slept cuddled up together.
The next morning, Furr woke everyone up by barking and it was a happy morning start. Furr understood that how he lived in his previous home is not how he can live here. He leaned using the toilet and the mat. Slowly learned manners and understood the coming and going time of each member of the house. The man went out in morning and came back at evening but once every 7 days he stayed at home same as the little kids who returned in afternoon though. The woman doesn't do anything specific she does everything needed in the house.
They took him around for a walk or to play sometimes. Slowly he adapted the new life he lived and became friendly with the family and with other humans too. They brought things he could eat and other things for him.
Furr slowly learned the names of the people in the house. The man was called Surya, the woman was Arya, the little girl was Tanya and the little boy was Aditya. Soon they changed Furr's name and kept it "Biscuit". It took a lot of time for the dog to forget the name they used for 10 days and remember his new name.
Biscuit now was living a happy life. The family loved him. He again had a home to live in and someone who cared for him. Biscuit never let any stranger near the kids even though he was even smaller than them. Biscuit was protective.
Biscuit never felt sad again. He never cried again.
The man's actions were done out of sympathy and guilt but led a happy life for Biscuit as well as his family.
