In a jungle, a bird laid an egg in its nest, high above in the branches of a tree. The mother bird cherished the egg and kept it warm. After a a few weeks, the egg started shaking. The mother got off it and looked at it. It was about to be hatched. The egg shell started to crack. The egg cracked and the hatched and the hatchling came out chirping.

The hatching saw its mother looking at her and understood that this was it's mother. The hatchling was noisy and loved to cry and chirp all day. The mother brought worms for the hatchling.

One day a caterpillar was crawling on a leaf that was on the same branch as the hatchling. The little hatchling saw it and recognized that this is what the hatchling sometimes eats. The hatchling opened his mouth towards the caterpillar thinking it would automatically come in his mouth as that's what always happened when the mother fed it.

The caterpillar just kept crawling without any reaction. The hatchling moved a bit and kept his mouth open so that the caterpillar goes in but nothing happens. The caterpillar kept crawling and the hatchling kept following it while keeping it's mouth open.

They kept walking until the hatchling reached the end of the branch and didn't pay attention to it as it was chasing its own food. The hatchling accidentally fell down from the branch.

The hatchling didn't know how to fly. It had seen the mother doing it so it tried to do the same by rapidly moving his wings up and down but that was not enough. While calling the hatchling hit a corner of the branch and one of its wings started bleeding.

Just as the little hatchling was about to reach the ground, the mother bird came with the wind and caught the hatchling using her beak. The mother took the hatchling to the nest again. The hatchling saw how fast his mother flies. It was beautiful. The hatchling wanted to fly. But his wings were hurt.

It took a few days for the hatchling to recover completely from his wound and the hatchling was still fascinated with the idea of flying. He wanted to fly just as the mother bird does and go with the winds.

The hatchling spread its wings but the hurted wing wouldn't fully open as it would still hurt a bit. But the hatchling still opened it as much as it can and then started moving them up and down fastly. But because only of his wings were in good condition, the poor baby couldn't fly.

After a week the baby bird was again ready to try. The past whole week he practiced everyday to fly but still found it really hard to get himself off the ground only by using his wings. So it jumped first and then flipped his wings. He did it again and again. The poor bird just couldn't fly.

The hurt wing was in a better condition and had recovered but it still wouldn't open completely. The hatchling still tried it's best to fly but It was hard. It slowly looked impossible to the little bird. So the baby bird gave up on its dream of flying.

He would only eat worms that he found easily and caterpillars around the branch. It would jump from a branch to the nearest brach to travel and find other kind of food but it never flew. The bird slowly grew up forgetting about how he wanted to fly and didn't learn how to fly.

Th mother got old slowly and one day a snake attacked the nest when the mother was sleeping. The little bird saw the snake but couldn't fly. It tried to wake up the mother bird. The mother bird woke up and grabbed the little bird with her mouth but the little bird was not a baby now and the mother bird was getting old. The little bird felt heavy to the mother.

The mother had no choice but to take the other 2 eggs with the nest and leave the little bird there. The snake slowly approach the bird while the bird just chirped and started walking backwards. The snake got closer and closer while the bird found the end of the branch. The bird instantly remembered the scene. It happened before. While chasing a caterpillar. It was the same height the same point.

The snake came closer and having no choice the bird jumped off. While falling the bird had only one thing in his mind, "Just if I had practiced more and not gave up, I could've been able to save myself." A strong wind came towards the bird. The bird felt the wind and for a second he felt his mother. It was like the other day when he fell and the mother saved him. It was the same type of wind.

The bird hoping and wanting to live, opened its wings and spread them as far and wide as it could and just with a single strong flap and the bird got up and then started to feel the wind and flap along with it. The bird learned to fly. It got up and hit a few leaves and branches while going up and after a few seconds when he opened his eyes, he saw something amazing.

He was in the blue sky looking at the trees from high above. A vast world opened up in front of his eyes and a wish filled his heart. The wish to travel it all. As far as it's eyes went. He wanted to fly. He kept flying and caught up with his mother. The mother was finally happy and the bird too with a new dream.

From then on the bird continued to fly, always high.
