Part 3
Wordcount: 4,196The school bell rings. Lake walks out of a class room. A boy walks next to him.
"Only one more hour of school. We have biology now, from mister Stoll. Ugh, he is really annoying, he always gives us so much homework, and he gives everyone detention as if it's joke." The boy looks irritated.
Lake chuckles. "Well, I don't have a problem with that. I'm always on time."
"Yeah, but I'm not!" The boy responds.
"Well, that's your fault Erik." Lake laughs.
Erik looks dumbfounded. "Hey, I try my best!"
Lake smirks. "Sure you do, well I need to take a piss. See you at biology."
Erik rolls his eyes. "Idiot."
Lake walks into the boy's bathroom. He looks with a straight face at himself in the mirror, and sighs. He then walks into a bathroom stall. The bathroom is completely quiet. Lake raises his left sleeve. A few scars are covering his arm.
His expression is emotionless. Lake grabs something from his bag. Inside his bag, in a small pocket, he takes out a small folded paper. He opens up folded paper and inside it is a shiny razor blade. Lake watches the edge which is so sharp and thin. Without hesitation he carefully places the razor on his arm. He slides it against his arm. A line of redness appears. After about three inches, he stops, and takes a breath from relief. Lake seems calm and smiles lightly. A drip of blood rolls down his arm, but he ignores it.
A few seconds pass and he looks back at his arm, which is slowly starting to heal. The wound closes and there is no scar, no sign of there ever being a wound. Lake sighs and he wipes off the drips of blood with some toilet paper and then walks out of the stall.
Lake walks into biology class. Erik has saved a seat for him. Lake sits down. He looks around the class. Then he sees Kiera sitting alone at a table in the classroom.
Kiera then notices Lake looking at her. Lake looks away. Kiera looks surprised. She looks around the classroom and notices Aimy sitting there too. Aimy looks confused at Kiera. She then notices Lake who is looking at Aimy now. The three of them share some confused faces.
Then the teacher walks in. It's a young lady wearing glasses, a black blazer and skirt. Her hair is tied in a bun. She stands in front of the desk. The whole class looks at her and becomes silent. The teacher smiles pleased at the class.
"Good morning, students. My name is miss Lewis, but you are allowed to call me Christa. I'm going to be your new teacher for the next year."
Erik speaks confused. "What happened to mister Stoll?"
Christa looks surprised at Erik. She walks towards his desk. "Well, mister Stoll had a little accident, and won't be back for a while."
The class looks confused.
"Let's just begin. Can anyone tell me where you are at right now?"Aimy opens her book. "We're at page twenty. We were learning about photosynthesis."
Miss Lewis yawns. "That doesn't sound that interesting. I might have something more fun to do."
Kiera looks suspicious. Aimy looks annoyed.
"You are all going to pair yourself in a group of two people. Next week you are going to give a presentation together about any biology subject. You will be graded by how interesting it is." Miss Lewis speaks relaxed.
The class seems excited. Aimy crosses her arms, annoyed. Miss Lewis sits down at her desk. "Everyone go pair in groups and choose a subject."
Kiera looks around the class. She sees everyone paring up in groups. "Ugh..." Kiera walks to the teachers desk. "Uhm...miss? I don't have anyone to pair up with."
