Dear friend,

You know you are my close friend. Who else would read all my writing, both academic and extracurricular? I am sorry to have neglected writing to you for some time. I have been through an ordeal, after all. And after all that, to be rescued by one's own inspiration is... 

He's not like I thought. I haven't been able to add anything to that story I started about Oakley and Santiago since then. I just don't think she would appreciate it, and my motivation has been... lacking. 

But that is enough about my trials. How about you? Engaged to be married! I hope I am invited, although I will stay away if you prefer. I didn't take you for the type to rush in, either. You're sure you are ready to become Mr. Munch? I digress, again. It is not my place to question your decisions. I am happy for you and you have my blessing. I know how much you've longed for someone stable to support your craft and I'm glad you've found that.
