My friends tried but I wouldn't hear it...

The weekend couldn't have come sooner and Harry's time alone came to an end. This morning, Domenic came back from his business trip in London and immediately went to Harry's flat.

"Darling, I'm home!", he said enthusiastically as he entered his flat. He was clean shaven and his green eyes lightened when he saw Harry. His light brown fringe was a bit messy from the long flight, but he still looked put together in his suit.

Harry went up to him and greeted him with a kiss. "Hello, it's good to see you!", Harry said to him.

Domenic smiled at him and dropped his bags before sitting down on the couch in Harry's large living room.

Harry asked him how his trip went and Domenic said that it was fine but he wished Harry would've been there with him. Also, Harry made him a cup of tea and listened to Domenic's stories about London.

It was then when Domenic noticed Harry's wrists.

"Holy shit, what happened to your wrists?", Domenic asked shocked as he carefully took them to inspect them further.

Domenic noticed the faded red and purple bruises and Harry began to squirm under his grip because he was panicking.

"Um...it's nothing", Harry squeaked out.

Domenic looked at him in horror. "Nothing?! Are you kidding me, Harry?", he spat and Harry faltered a bit.

"I just...slipped out when I was working out. You know how clumsy I get", Harry lied.

"Seriously? Do you think I'm stupid, Harry? It looks like someone tied you up", Domenic stated and he looked very angry.

"What?! Nobody tied me up, do you hear yourself and how absurd that sounds?", Harry stood up because he was getting mad.

"I don't know, Harry. It seems like lately you have other things on your mind. And I was gone for a few days, who knows what you could've been up to.", he shrugged.

Harry couldn't believe what came out of Domenic's mouth. He stood in front of him and didn't say anything for a while.

"I can't believe you. Do you really think so lowly about me?".

"No, of course I don't. But I don't know what to think anymore, you have been acting so differently and I tried to find so many reasons for your behaviour in my head but nothing comes to mind", Domenic explained as he also stood up to fully face Harry.

"Wow...well if that's the case I think we seriously have to reconsider our engagement", Harry dropped.

It was all too much. Harry didn't want to actually say that but Domenic's behaviour and everything in the past few weeks really got to Harry and he couldn't keep it inside anymore.

Domenic looked at him as if he had grown a second head.

"Woah, woah, woah. Let's stop there for a minute. Harry, that's not what I meant. I was just worried that I did something wrong. Of course I want to marry you", Domenic reached for Harry's hands but Harry stepped out of his grasp.

"I- I think I need a minute for myself. I'm sorry Domenic, but I can't do this right now and I don't want to say anything that I don't mean.", Harry said as he took his jacket to get out of his flat.

"Harry, wait", Domenic called out for him as he sprinted to him. "Please remember that I love you. We can figure this out together, okay?", Domenic said with worried eyes.

Harry nodded before he opened the door. "I'll be back in a bit, I just need to get some fresh air", Harry excused himself as he left his flat.

He can't believe what just happened. Where did that come from? Harry never planned on fighting about this and he also din't like fighting with Domenic. But sometimes it was just too much for him.
