Hayaat's eyes gazed out her window, lost in Istanbul's misty dawn. The Bosphorus Strait shimmered, unaware of the turmoil brewing within her. At 16, Hayaat felt trapped, suffocated by expectations.
Born and raised in Istanbul, Hayaat's life revolved around school and family. Her parents, Zunera and Zain, though loving, pressured her to excel academically. Her father, Zain, a respected businessman, wanted her to pursue a stable career, while her mother, Zunera, wished for her to become a talented homemaker.
But Hayaat's heart yearned for more. She dreamed of writing, of telling stories that touched hearts. Her passion for words was her escape, her sanctuary.
Hayaat's thoughts drifted to her childhood. Once carefree, she'd explore the Topkapi Palace gardens with her siblings, Ali (deceased) and Ayesha. But life took a cruel turn.
Ali's sudden death shattered their family. Her parents' grief consumed them, leaving Hayaat feeling abandoned. She struggled to cope, but the pain lingered.
Depression crept in, shrouding her world. Hayaat's smile faded, replaced by a mask of sadness.
To cope, Hayaat turned to her journal, her confidant. She scribbled her thoughts, her feelings, her dreams.

"Dear Unknown Love,"
"I feel lost, unseen. Everyone wants a piece of me, but no one truly sees me. You, my unknown love, are my escape."
As she wrote, tears streamed down her face. Hayaat's heart ached, remembering the happiness she once knew.
Her journal was her only solace. In its pages, she poured her soul.
"I wish you were here, Unknown Love. I wish you could see me, truly see me."
Hayaat's love for her unknown love was pure, childish. She imagined him as her knight, her savior.
But reality checked in. Her parents' expectations weighed her down.
"Hayaat, focus on your studies," Zain reminded her.
"Ammi wants you to learn cooking," Zunera added.
Hayaat nodded, feeling trapped.
At school, Hayaat found solace in her favorite subject, Turkish Literature. Her teacher, Mrs. Özgür, encouraged her writing.
"Hayaat, your words have power. Keep writing."
But Hayaat's doubts lingered.
"Is my writing good enough?"
As she walked along the Golden Horn, Hayaat felt alone, lost in her thoughts.
That's when she saw him - Azlan, a brooding stranger.
Their eyes met, and Hayaat's world paused.
Little did she know, their lives were about to collide.
As Hayaat walked away from Azlan, she felt a mix of relief and annoyance. His piercing gaze lingered in her mind, but she refused to give him attention.
"Not my type," she thought.
Hayaat met Zara her bestfriend at the café, eager to share her encounter.
"Guess who I saw today?" Hayaat said, rolling her eyes.
"Who?" Zara asked, curiosity piqued.
"Azlan. He's got this bad-boy vibe, but I'm not impressed."
Zara raised an eyebrow.
"Azlan? Isn't he, like, notorious for his flings?"
Hayaat nodded.
"Exactly! I'm not getting tangled in that drama."
The next day, Hayaat immersed herself in her journal and art supplies. She found solace in creative expression, letting her emotions flow onto paper.
As days passed, Hayaat started healing. She poured her energy into:
Cooking: whipping up delicious Turkish dishes, like baklava and kebabs.
Household chores: taking pride in keeping her home tidy.
Studies: focusing on her academics, determined to make her parents proud.
Hayaat's routine became her sanctuary:
6:00 AM - Morning prayers
6:30 AM - Journaling and art
7:00 AM - Breakfast
8:00 AM - School
3:00 PM - Homework
5:00 PM - Cooking/ household chores
7:00 PM - Family time
9:00 PM - Reading/relaxation
10:00 PM - Bedtime

With each passing day, Hayaat's smile returned, brighter and more genuine.
Zunera noticed the change.
"Hayaat, you're glowing! What's behind this newfound happiness?"
Hayaat smiled.
"Just finding my balance, Ammi."
Zain beamed with pride.
"Our daughter's growing into a wonderful young woman."
Ayesha, Hayaat's sister, admired her.
"Hayaat, you're my role model."
As Hayaat's confidence grew, she began to see a new side of herself - stronger, resilient.
But little did she know, Azlan's presence would continue to linger, testing her resolve.

At school, Hayaat met:
Eylül: a quiet, artistic student who shared Hayaat's love for literature.
Emre: a charming, confident athlete who challenged Hayaat's opinions.
These new friendships tested Hayaat's boundaries and encouraged her growth.
Hayaat's bond with Zara deepened as they shared secrets and laughter.
Zunera and Hayaat cooked together, strengthening their connection.
Zain attended Hayaat's school events, beaming with pride.
Ayesha looked up to Hayaat, seeking advice on teenage struggles.
Hayaat discovered her passion for photography, capturing Istanbul's beauty.
She began writing short stories, inspired by Turkish folklore.
Eylül and Hayaat collaborated on a school project, blending art and literature.
As Hayaat explored her creative side, she found joy in:
Painting Istanbul's landscapes
Composing poetry
Playing the oud (a traditional Turkish instrument)
With each new discovery, Hayaat's confidence soared.
But amidst this growth, Azlan's presence lingered, a constant reminder of the complexities of life.
One day, while exploring the Grand Bazaar, Hayaat stumbled upon Azlan again.
Their eyes met, and the air was charged with tension.
"What are you doing here?" Hayaat asked, her voice firm.
Azlan smirked.
"Just admiring the beauty of Istanbul... and you."
Hayaat's cheeks flushed, but she stood her ground.
"I'm not interested."
Azlan chuckled.
"We'll see about that."
