"Still no girlfriend back in Chicago?" Ask Tutor after the bartender slides our beers in front of us!
I check my head and take my drink"no time" i said
He laughs. "I don't think that actually the problem!"
We've been friends since birth because our mom was a long-time-best-friends. And even after living in different countries we are still as close as we wear as kids!
Tutor has walked with me through every major event in my life. My EMO haircut at 8th grade, the first time I made out with a girl in freshman year (he wasn't there but I told him in extremely detailed that he felt he was the one who kissed her)
And also when my mum died and my junior year. I don't like thinking back to that time—it still hurts
He sees me through my best and worst days (the EMO haircut at 8th grade was worst) and that's why I think of the as my brother...
"WHAT!!! ARE YOU SAYING I'M GAY???" I said dramatically
He chuckled. "You think 'gay' is offensive word while sitting with one and being one?"
"If you really know me that much then tell me why I don't have partner tutor?" I ask
He chuckled again"I think you're still in love with that boy who will rather slap you then kiss you!!"
I think he's right. I need someone who challenge me. Someone who make me want to come home from the work early at night. Someone who calls me out when I am wrong.
And I don't think I need to tell you whose face pops in my mind when I ask myself if I have ever meet a boy like that.
"Why have not you visited James before now??" Tutor ask because he can read my mind....
I rub the back of my neck. "I don't know..... It never seems like a right time!!"
"But you have thought about visiting him before?" Tutor ask
"I mean.... Yeah, I wanted to see him. Does that shocks you???" I said bit of nervous
"No. So why haven't you?" Tutor said
"I've just been focusing on my career! And—
"AND WHAT??" Godness, tutor is so strict today!
I sign before I speak again, because there is nothing I hate more than admitting my own feeling "I guess I knew he wouldn't be happy to see me again.... And I was hard to convince myself coming back to meet my crush who hates me!"
"Well.... In all fairness he's always thought you hate that him too!" Tutor does his drink, and I want to keep talking about games and find out what he really thinks,but tutor closes up the subject, and it feel weird to force that....
So, instant the conversation moves to his and yim's wedding and he told me how they are moving to London after their wedding and how yim is selling his shares of darlin'donuts...... But all I can think about is James!
I am worried about how broken he is because yim is leaving him...
"Are you going to go after him?" Ask tutor
"Will you stop reading my mind!"
He laughs "then stop wearing your feelings on face!!"
"So are you going after James?" He added
"Am I insane to say yes?"
"Insane? Never. But before that know about James one date rule!!" Said tutor
"One date rule??" I asked
"He won't go out with anyone more than once. One date and then it's ssayonara" tutor said
"NO WAY!!"
"I'm dead serious, he's dated half the City by now. Dating him has become the latest tourist attraction!" Tutor again said and now it's interesting and challenging....
"Hey net, but don't you dare to tell James about this otherwise yim and James will kill both of us!"
"Mark my words man: I WILL NEVER TELL JAMES ABOUT THIS!"
