Maya
2:54 PM Friday

That lecture was boring as hell, I let out a soft yawn, stretching my arms out long and wide, my shoulders feeling relief from the release of tension. I walk out of the hall once I've seen that most of the people have left. I decide to head to the library to utilise my time at uni, since my house isn't the most quiet place after all. As much as I love my room-mates, they're quite the life of the party, and it's also a Friday, which means they'll probably be drinking or having some sort of shenanigan party.

The quickest route there was taking the elevator straight there, but a coffee would also be nice. So I set off to the Uni cafe to order an iced latte, this will keep me motivated. I exclaim to myself proudly. I spot a line and wait behind a random man.

While waiting I have a look around, observing the world around me. I see a lot of student's chatting away on the tables, walking around, usually with friends but I also see a few people walking around by themselves. I start humming to relieve myself from boredom,

And who do we have here?

I smirk, noticing a vaguely familiar messy black haired boy sitting at one of the tables with an asian hunk.  He's seems to be deep in his conversation with him, grinning from ear to ear as he chats away. His eyes sparkling as I gaze at him in adoration. He's just too adorable, I've noticed him since the first day I've met him, his shy nature capturing my heart. I giggle to myself reminded of the other day where I caught him red-handed repeating my name over and over again. What a little weirdo.

Oh! it's my turn, I walk over to the counter, coming face to face with a pretty short haired girl. "An iced vanilla latte with oat milk takeaway please"

She nods, "Name?" I give her my name and proceed to pay for my drink, once I'm done with that I momentarily decide if I should acknowledge that boy's presence or not.  I have a gut feeling he's got a small crush on me but seems to shy to come forward about it, I giggle to myself thinking about the other day when I caught him calling my name out. He looked so adorable, his face flushed all red.

"Iced latte for Maya" My thoughts come to a halt, I grab my coffee and leave the cafe instantly, glancing one last time at him. Audibly gasping when I notice his seat is empty. Am I imagining things? I shake my head silently at that thought, there's no way.

I walk over to the library, it's a short distance from the cafe, which I'm eternally grateful for. Coffee and studying always goes hand in hand.

7:29 PM Friday

Submitted. Finally after working on this assignment for an insane amount of times, blood sweat and tears gone to this piece of work. After spending gruelling hours on it, I relish at the excitement of it being over.

Time to head home, I pack my items away and sling my backpack over my shoulder, heading over to the stairs and carelessly walking down as I scroll through my playlist trying to pick a good song. I end up picking some random hyper break-core song to listen to as I journey home.

I decide to walk home tonight, when I remember that I had no funds on my transport card. Utterly dreadful, but I try look at the bright-side. I'm getting more steps in, my body will be healthier.

When I step outside the campus I see the sky has already gone dark, Was I studying for that long? The moon is already out, shining beautifully as it lights up the night sky. I start heading home, glad that I live so close to campus. It's about a 20 minute walk thankfully.

As I get closer to home, the environment around me gets darker, I'm not in the main city area anymore so the only source of lighting around these parts are dimly lit street lights. I walk the usual path, not making any deviations from the directions there. But... something feels off.
