Finally after an hour which felt like eternity she was at the front of the orphanage
Getting all of her stuff out of the cab she paid for the ride and turned to face the door of the orphanage
She closely looked at the door
Remembering her past when she was young, when she used to come here with both of her parents, when she had a happy family of her own, when she was an innocent young girl, when she lived in this orphanage, every memory was flashing in front of her eyes....
While beholding the scene in front of her eyes, she welled up with emotions, a tear slipped off her eyes
She closed her eyes and wiped it off
Not wasting anymore time in reciprocating her emotions she entered the orphanage
On entering inside she was greeted by the warden, who has been working there since her childhood
Thanks to the Warden's  sharp memory it didn't took more than a minute for her to  recognise vamika....
She smiled on seeing her
both of them hugged each other in a tight embrace

As they hugged, Vamika felt a mix of emotions: happiness, sadness, and nostalgia. The warden, Mrs. sumedha, held her tightly, tears streaming down her face. "Vamika, my child, you're back! You've grown into a beautiful woman."

Vamika smiled and said it's too good to see you again and look at yourself you are still the same, young, loving and beautiful,...are you aging backwards?

Sumedha chuckled at her antics and said, teri maska lagane wali harkate abhi bhi vaisi ki vaisi hai

Ha toh main age mein badi hui hu aadaton mein thodi

Acha batao maa kaha hai? Woh kaisi hai? aur mere yha na hone par woh apna khayal toh rakhti hai na? Zayada stress toh nahi leti na? Khana time pe khati hai na? Mujhe call pe woh sb batati nhi par fir bhi lagta hai ki she is hiding something from me....is she alright?

On hearing vamika, sumedha's eyes were filled with tears
But this time these tears were not all because of happiness, she was gathering words all together to explain every thing to vamika
She opened her mouth once but nothing came out of it
She trembled while speaking, not making an eye contact with vamika, as she is afraid that vamika might caught her

But vamika was quick to understand, sumedha's sudden change in expressions was enough to make her worry

Vamika then asked sumedha, what happened, is everything okay with her? Is my mother alright???
Sumedha stammered but finally gathered up the courage to face her, she held vamika's arms and made an eye contact with her and said, beta your mother strictly refused me to not to tell anything to you.....she......sh....she is not well, she is facing heart problems from past 2-3 years
Yesterday she fainted while playing with children and then we took her to the hospital, now she is admitted there since past night

This news was enough to break the glass of her imaginary world...as she heard sumedha she was flabbergasted, her mind stopped thinking for a bit, all she was surrounded by was her negative thoughts
A fear caught up her head she yelled no....no......no...not again panic grabbing through her mind and she immediately rushed over to the hospital where her mother was admitted.

She reached the hospital and upon asking the receptionist about the ward no. She made a quick visit to her mother she rushed towards her room and on reaching the door she tried to calm down herself, not to show her scared state to her mother...She knew that her scared state will increase her mother's worry so she composed herself so naturally that no one could even imagine that she was panicking a few seconds ago. She prepared herself so, she could take care of her mother more efficiently.

She entered the room and saw her mother lying on the hospital bed, but to her surprise she was not at all worried meanwhile she was talking to the doctor all happy despite her weakened figure she was all energetic in her talks with the doctor.

Mrs. Pratima I told you to be more careful with your health if you want to meet your daughter and don't wish to see me again. But you don't listen to what's important for your health right? As you believe that I am like your own son to you then why don't you listen to your son, concentrate on your health, prior it , don't you wish to see your daughter all well and healthy.

If you ignored your health once  more then I will personally call your daughter and tell her everything about your condition, fir khana apni pyari beti se bhi daat main bachane bhi nahi aaunga

"Acha acha thik hai ab se khayal rakhugi aapna par meri beti ko mat batana" pratima said

"Good" doctor said

Meanwhile at the door, vamika was fuming with anger as how a doctor can support her mother in hiding about her medical conditions, she was totally taken aback by his statement.

Without any thought she stepped inside the room and went straight to her mother's bed, where the doctor was standing

"Oh hello! You are a doctor yourself you know how ridiculous this act of yours is that you are supporting a patient in hiding her medical conditions from her own daughter and mumma how you can be so irresponsible to not take care of your self and depending on medications of doctor like him. I mean you have your own daughter, how can you even call anyone your son. Moreover, why didn't you told me about this all" vamika said totally infurated

Excuse me may I ask who are you, madam? Ahh, wait are you her daughter?

Ji haan Mr. Farzi doctor I am her daughter and she is my mother.

Just then, Pratima called out to Vamika and enveloped her in a warm, tight embrace. "Eva my bacha!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with emotion. As she pulled back, her eyes shone with tears and a radiant smile spread across her face. She showered Vamika with soft kisses on her forehead, cheeks, and nose, before wrapping her in another tender hug.

Vamika reciprocated the hug, feeling her worries, sorrows, and miseries dissolve in that instant. All she could feel was her mother's warmth, her closeness, and the deep connection that only a decade of separation could strengthen. Finally, after an eternity apart, she was reunited with her mother – her home, her family.

The doctor, witnessing this poignant moment, couldn't help but smile. Despite being offended by Vamika's harsh words earlier – labelling him a "farzi doctor" – he was overjoyed to see the mother-daughter duo reunited after so long. He had first met Mrs. Pratima three years ago as a junior doctor, and she was his first patient. Over time, they had developed a deep bond, much like a son and mother.
