Vamika decided to return to India on a surprise visit to her mother, whom she had stayed away from for over a decade. She wanted to close the distance between them and be with her mother forever. Her instincts told her to leave everything behind and be with her mother. Her ears longed to hear her mother's voice, her eyes yearned to see her mother's sight, and she ached to feel her solace around her. She missed her mother's smile, her constant nagging, which used to irritate her but now she was dying to get nagged by her, to get scolded by her.
Though she had become mature and strong, fighting all her emotions alone, she was still a child at heart, a child who wanted her mother at every step of her life. She had lost her father, but she couldn't afford to lose her mother. If something happened to her mother, her already shattered soul would get torn into pieces. Her parents meant everything to her.
After clearing all her work in London, she booked a flight to India. It didn't take much time, as she had pre-planned everything. She headed to the plane and, after approximately nine hours of flight, she was standing at the International Indian Airport.
On returning to her home country, she felt happy, happy to be returning home. Her mind was playing several scenes, and she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Her lips curled upwards as she felt the warmth of affinity.
Not wasting much time, she grabbed a taxi and headed to her mother's orphanage. On her way, she passed by her school, where she was transferred after her father's death. She glanced at it, capturing the view in her sight, replaying her little banter with Anvi in her mind...
_Flashback_
"Tune meri copy pe pen kyu chalaya?" Vamika said.
"Aare galti se chal gya yr jnabuj ke nhi chalaya maine" Anvi spoke with mischief clearly evident in her eyes.
"Aacha, toh ye le fir" Vamika scribbled back a big scratch cutting the page of Anvi's notebook.
"Haww, Vamika maine sirf thoda sa pen chalaya tha par tune Mera pura page kharab kardiya"
"Maine bhi galti se pen chala yr sorry zayada lag gya"
"Acha ji meri billi mujhi ko meow"
Now wait for my galti se mistake...
And the little banter turned into a small fight of whose pen will scribble onto another's notebook more...
_Flashback ends_
Vamika chuckled, remembering the scene. Her mind then replayed the memories where she first met him, when she encountered him, and fell for him at the very moment - where she met a true gentleman, her first and only love... the only man she has a soft spot in her heart for...
_And the Flashback begins...
A 13-year-old girl storming out of the school in a hurry, every eye was on her... making her deadly nervous, she was panicking, her eyes evidentiary that she would cry at any moment soon...
...she didn't know why everyone was looking at her with such a look, she was fearing, she was trembling, she just wanted to escape out of there... those eyes on her were just triggering her past traumas. She was suffocating, she felt unconscious, she stopped at her feet, with her eyes closed, head low, and her hands on her ears, her trembling self was trying to ease, to calm in the situation...
She sat on the ground, holding her knees, hiding her face in her knees, she was screaming "papa, papa no" in her weak voice, yes, her mind was stuck in the moments of her father's death.
Just then, a guy with a concerned look on his face approached her and sat beside her, he gently rubbed her back, trying to comfort her, he spoke kind words to her ears to ease her, he tried every possible way to calm her panic, and he was successful in it.
