I woke up slowly, blinking against the dim light. The low hum of the ship's engines buzzed in the background, a constant vibration that pulsed through the walls. I sat up, groggy, my head still spinning.
The last thing I remembered was sitting in my room, playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my Xbox, trying to rack up kills in the Mos Eisley map. It had been a normal day. I was a normal kid. Just 15 years old, chilling at home. And now... this.
I glanced around the room. It was way too big, almost like a luxury hotel suite with smooth, metallic walls, a sleek design, and a bed that could fit three of me. Where the hell was I? And why did everything feel so... off?
Before I could make sense of it all, the door slid open with a hiss, and a golden-plated droid shuffled in. His photoreceptors glowed slightly, and his movements were precise—too precise. I recognized the model immediately. It looked like something out of the Star Wars universe, but how could that even be real?
"Ah, Master Nicolas," the droid said, its voice posh, almost British, and filled with a bit of snark. "You've finally awakened. I was beginning to wonder if you'd overslept through the entire trip."
I blinked at him. Master Nicolas? That didn't sound right. "Uh... what?"
The droid tilted its head. "I am C2-N2, your personal assistant aboard this vessel. I've been programmed to provide for your every need, even though you're only... what? Fifteen?"
"Fifteen? Yeah, I'm fifteen, but... what the hell is going on?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly as I tried to figure out how I'd gone from sitting in front of my Xbox to waking up in what looked like a high-tech spaceship.
C2-N2's photoreceptors blinked. "I am aware you're from... far away, Master Nicolas, though the details escape me. However, you are now aboard your Defender-class light corvette, and we're currently en route to Tatooine."
Tatooine? My mind raced. Defender-class corvette? This had to be some kind of sick joke, right? How could I be in the Star Wars universe? It was a game, a movie... not real life.
I rubbed my eyes, trying to process everything. "Wait, this isn't real, right? This is like... some VR thing?"
C2-N2 straightened up. "I assure you, everything is quite real, sir. I was activated to serve you upon your arrival. Might I suggest you take a tour of your ship before we land on Tatooine?"
I stood up from the bed, feeling the cold metal floor under my bare feet. "Tatooine? Why are we going to Tatooine?"
The droid hesitated for a moment before responding. "That information is not available to me. All I know is that you are in command, Master Nicolas. If you're ready, I can show you around the vessel."
I was still in shock, but I had no choice but to play along. "Yeah... sure. Let's do the tour."
