Taehyung fixes his hair and checks again if  he has all the lecture papers he needs for his next lecture. Being a professor gives him joy. Teaching students and watching them shine in life give him happiness. Just after his graduation and then masters, he joined this profession. He got his PhD during it.

It has been 5 years already, and he is really happy with it. He has everything a person can have. He should be content with it. He should be happy that he has got everything but the saddest part is he isn't.

How can he be happy when he hasn't found his mate yet?? A mate who is the only one who can complete a werewolf's life.

Maybe for a human, they can live without a better half. They can be content in their life. But for a werewolf, their mate is the most important thing in their life. Their life revolves around their mate. Their purpose in life is to be the best mate for their destined one and continue their line of pack.

Every werewolf is destined to have a mate. But not every werewolf gets to have them. Those unfortunate ones live a miserable life.

Sometimes, mate dies, sometimes they fall in love with other person, and sometimes they never meet. He has seen some werewolves go through this. He has seen them going through unbearable pain. The pain sometimes becomes too much that they are forced to take their own life. Their can't live their miserable and lonely life any longer.

Taehyung doesn't want to go through this. But as he is getting older, his hope is decreasing with it. He doesn't know for how long he can wait or for how long he has the strength to wait before he gives up, before he gives in to this loneliness he always feels.
