The next day, Lighttowne continued to live in a constant state of fear. The Amethyst Dragon Queen would frequently harass the town, keeping everyone on edge, not allowing a single moment of rest.

"It's been so long, and they should've returned by now, right?"
The Battle Roar captain and his men were discussing the situation in the tavern. They were the standby force, ready to head out at any moment. Meanwhile, the Sword Saintess took on the most grueling job, standing watch atop the highest bell tower like a statue.

She couldn't afford any more mistakes—if anything happened to Lighttowne, she wouldn't be able to live with herself, especially in her role as the Guardian Holy Sword, responsible for protecting the kingdom and its people. Her dedication moved the residents of Lighttowne, who often tried to persuade her to rest, offering money or food, but she refused everything.

Days passed, and finally, the Battle Roar squad began to accept that Kassimov had likely perished in the Enchanted Forest.
"Damn it, what kind of goblin tribe is this? One after another, everyone's dying!"
"I have a feeling we're trapped in an open conspiracy."
"An open conspiracy? If that's true, it's terrifying. But no, that can't be."

As they discussed, the Sword Saintess entered the room and said, "All of you need to leave here and return to the capital to request reinforcements. It's the only way. We're in a hazardous situation."

They faced the constant threat of dragons and the growing menace of goblins, and they needed more support to deal with both threats simultaneously.

"If we let those goblins continue unchecked, they might leave this place. And if they grow stronger, they'll become a huge threat," the Sword Saintess added. The Enchanted Forest was almost entirely devoid of creatures, clearly the result of the goblins consuming everything. When there was no food left, the goblins might migrate. There was no way they could allow that to happen before avenging their teammates.

Hearing this, the Battle Roar squad exchanged glances, acknowledging her words. But the captain was reluctant. "If we leave now, wouldn't we be seen as deserters? We've always been the first to charge into battle! You all go for reinforcements. I'll handle those goblins myself! No way I'll lose to a bunch of lowly creatures!"

To the Battle Roar captain, goblins had always been considered low-tier monsters—easy to kill. He refused to believe a few hero-class and elite goblins could pose any real challenge.

The other captains were speechless. They'd heard this speech too many times. They grabbed him and started dragging him outside. "Come on, Captain! Time's running out. We've got to get to the capital!"

After being dragged forcefully, the Battle Roar captain finally relented, though he continued grumbling and cursing on the way to the capital.

Outside Lighttowne, on a nearby hill, Oliver, as usual, lay hidden in the forest, watching the situation while mounted on his wyvern. Seeing the Battle Roar squad leave, he smirked to himself.
"Hah, looks like these fools are falling right into my open trap, one by one," Oliver muttered, ready to head back.

But something felt off. The group wasn't heading toward the Enchanted Forest; they were following the main road. It dawned on him. "They're going to get reinforcements? No, I can't let them escape!"

"Hurry, get ahead of them!"
Oliver took to the skies on his wyvern, flying ahead of the Battle Roar squad. Soon, he spotted a wooden bridge spanning a cliff, precisely what he had been searching for. He needed to cut off their escape route.

Hovering above the bridge, Oliver drew his elemental crossbow and selected a fire arrow. One shot was all it took to set the entire bridge ablaze. Below was a deep chasm, forcing the Battle Roar squad to turn back or attempt to rebuild the bridge.
