Managing a nursery business can be extremely stressful, but especially when a big project is being introduced. Roger Knight, the owner of the Knight Nurseries had decided to merge three of his nurseries into one larger facility. This could cause problems for everyone involved.

However for Siobhan Serpent, this merge would be a nightmare for her. Having being engaged to the owner has it's benefits, but also many downsides. Roger is known to be an abuser, and would often hurt his partners and his children. Being a board member for such a big company is a lot of responsibility, Siobhan has to manage almost everything, and she could be 'punished' if a task was not completed on time.

On one occasion, when the blonde did not complete an important assignment, Roger put his hands on her. "You're so fucking stupid, how could you not do a simple task?" He yelled as he pinned his partner to the bed, slightly choking her. "Let go...of me..." Siobhan muttered, trying her best to get the hands away from her throat."Not until you learn your lesson, bitch." He yelled out before suddenly letting go, allowing Siobhan to breathe.

When the merge project was first announced, many parents were concerned about this new change, and many made complaints to head office, but more specifically, to Siobhan. However, there was one parent that seemed to make everything feel easier.

Vivian Shields, a single mother to Jamie, who was in the toddler room. She had occasionally bumped into Siobhan in the carparks and in the office, but she made Siobhan feel safe somehow. They would have regular coffee meetups where they would talk about Jamie or anything interesting at that time.

However, when Vivian found out that Siobhan was now engaged to Roger, everything changed. They couldn't even make eye contact without Viv giving her a disappointed look. Vivian thought there was something between them, something more than just being friends.

*Present Day*

It was now the day of the merge, the parents were all making their way inside with their little ones by their sides. Both Roger and Siobhan were in the nursery for the day for the grand opening. As the two got out of the car, Roger suddenly grabbed Siobhan's hand, bringing her closer to him.

They were now face to face, only inches separating them. "Right, listen here you bitch." He started. "Do not embarrass me, do you understand?" Siobhan's body was shaking, she could hardly speak. As she opened her mouth, Roger grabbed her by the throat and slammed her against the car. "Do you understand?" The blonde could hardly breathe, the flashbacks from the previous times he hurt her started to play in her head.

"Let go of her!" A woman could be heard screaming from the other end of the carpark. Roger looked around and saw a woman in a nurse's outfit standing behind him. "Let go." She said sternly.

"Excuse me?" Roger yelled. "Do you know who I am?" He only cared about his status and his money. "I do infact know who you are. Can you let Siobhan go please?" The blonde was now gasping for air as Roger's grip got tighter by the second

"And why should I listen to you?" He asked. "I could have you arrested in a few minutes." Vivian smirked, even though she had just lied to his face. Roger immediately removed his hand from his partner's throat. "What a bitch." He muttered under his breathe as he started walking away. Out of nowhere, Vivian grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him towards her. "Hurt my Bon Bon again, and you'll see what I'm capable of." She said in his ear before pushing him away and rushing over to Siobhan.

She was now on her knees trying to catch her breathe. "Are you okay, do you need anything?" Vivian said softly, helping the woman stand up. All Siobhan could do was shake her head, but tears started forming in her eyes. Vivian noticed this, and pulled the blonde in for a hug, trying to be as gentle as possible. "Thank you" Siobhan whispered, her voice now broken. "You're welcome, you know I'll always be here for you."
