Chapter 06: surprises and miseries
After I left Jungkook's house that morning I went to meet my mom and dad. They were ecstatic to see me. After all, I never stayed away from them either. Mom cried while hugging me. Even though I put up a strong personality I missed her too and wanted to cry too, hiding my face in her lap.
After that, i showed them the gifts i bought for them. Mom cried that time too, even dad got emotional even though he is one of the strongest men I know in my life.
Maybe because I bought them with my own money that I earned , they got so emotional. It was a warm feeling seeing them smiling like that. Also mom wore that shawl the whole day.
That's when I remembered I didn't give Jungkook what I bought for him. It was in the car and I forgot to bring it with me when I climbed the pipe.
I will give him in the evening I thought in my mind and went to take a nap. I was tired.
It was around 2pm when I woke up from my sleep. Mom was rubbing my hair gently, I smiled in my sleep and put my head in her lap. I missed that. I missed her.
"Lunch is ready, come. Also your dad wanna talk to you" she smiled at me.
" 5 minutes more please momma" she kept scratching my scalp.
When we started eating at the table it was calm. Dad was reading the newspaper and mom was serving me dishes after dishes even though I told her to stop. I missed her cooking also. The chef cooks well but still mom's food is always the best.
It was when i put the 2nd bite in my mouth dad told me
"I fixed your marriage with my friend's daughter" and I choked on my food. I coughed and drank some water, there were tears in my eyes and my chest was hurting really bad.
"Wait, what? Where's that coming from?" I was startled at the sudden question. I didn't see this coming.
"Why? Do you have someone you like?" I bite my lips. The food in front of me was long forgotten. I could feel my mom rubbing my back. I knew it was coming.
One of my reasons for coming here was also to tell them about jungkook. I thought I would tell them before going back to busan. I knew they would love Jungkook but it was still nerve cracking to tell them.
"Uhh, i-i mean, yes, yes i have someone" i could feel my forehead sweating. The look dad was giving me at that moment, I helplessly looked at my mom, silently asking her to help me out. She just smiled at me as if she knew something I didn't.
"By any chance, is his name jungkook?" the fork in my hand slipped and i am sure my mouth was gaping at that moment. I again looked at my mom and then at my dad and repeated the same motion.
"What? I mean how? How do you know his name?" my eyebrow raised, i was still in shock. I didn't know what was happening in the Kim Household anymore.
My parents laughed at the same time.
"Jungkook's dad came a few days ago with his photo. He told us about you guys. Mr.jeon is a respectful man, i am sure jungkook is a good boy too."
"Oh" that's all I could say at that moment. I was dumbfounded, why didn't Jungkook tell me anything about it.
"I am mad taehyungie why didn't you tell me before about that sweet boy?" She teased me.
I blushed, it was awkward to talk to them about my love life. "You will love him mama, he is so good to me and you know he has this boba eyes and round fac-" i stopped when I realized i was blabbering about Jungkook and that my Parents were trying their best to control their laughter. My full face went to red, i quickly left the living room
