Chapter 18;- love so beautifulIt took 9 months for Jungkook to feel easy to actually come to their house and it's been a week that he is staying with them. Jungkook still needs to fully move in if he wants. The last time he came to visit them, he didn't leave after that.
Sitting at the dinner table, Soobin couldn't help but feel a strange mix of emotions swirling inside him. He kept glancing over at his dad, Taehyung, who seemed almost like a different person tonight. His smile was bigger, brighter, and there was a glow in his eyes that Soobin hadn't seen in years. It wasn't the usual tired smile his father gave him when he was trying to be strong. No, this was something deeper. Taehyung looked... happy. Really happy.
And the reason for that happiness sat right beside him, smiling and laughing softly, like they had always belonged there.
Soobin had always known there was a part of his father's heart that had been missing, a piece that couldn't be filled no matter how much love he gave. Growing up, it had just been the two of them, and Taehyung had been the best dad anyone could ask for. He had showered Soobin with love, always putting him first, but Soobin had noticed the way his father's eyes lingered on old pictures or the quiet moments where he seemed lost in his own thoughts.
Soobin never asked about it. He didn't need to. He knew his dad had lost someone special a long time ago, someone who had left a hole in his heart. He always thought it was his mother But now, as they sat together, eating dinner in their cozy little home, Soobin realized that hole had finally been filled.
He couldn't stop the warmth spreading through his chest as he watched them, his father and the person who had brought him back to life. It felt so natural, like they had always been there, completing the picture Soobin had longed to see. The quiet sadness that used to hang in the air was gone, replaced by a sense of peace and wholeness that Soobin hadn't even known he needed.
As he looked at Taehyung, Soobin felt his eyes sting with unshed tears. His dad had been through so much, always putting on a brave face for him, never letting his own pain get in the way of raising Soobin. They had been a team, just the two of them, and for so long, Soobin had thought that was enough. But now, seeing Taehyung truly happy-seeing that he had finally found the love he had lost-it was overwhelming in the best way.
The house felt warmer tonight, like it wasn't just a place they lived anymore, but a real home. The kind of home Soobin had always dreamed of, where laughter filled the rooms and love flowed freely between them. He could see it in the way his dad smiled, the way his eyes sparkled when he looked at the person sitting beside him.
Soobin took a deep breath, trying to steady himself as the emotions rushed through him.
He saw as taehyung served him food at the same time jungkook also put the meal onto taehyung's plate.
And He wasn't sure when he had started crying, but the tears were there, slipping down his cheeks quietly. It wasn't sadness, though. It was happiness, a sense of relief that he hadn't realized he was waiting for all this time.
