Vance's pov:
I was sitting on my bed, crying slightly. Why did they have to bring her up?
I wasn't mad at my friends, I just hate talking about Scarlett (his sister). She was the best person, ever. When she moved out 3 years ago, it was the worst. She was the only person who seemed to actually care about me, she even taught me how to fight.
Scarlett was everything to me, my best friend, my big sister, and now she's gone. She called a few times, but never visited. Why can't she come back?
I looked up to see Griffin standing in the doorway.
Griffin: Vance? Are you ok?
He whispered as he walked closer to my bed.
I nodded and he sat down next to me.
Griffin: I'm sorry Vance, I know you miss her
I looked down and wiped my tears off my face.
Vance: I just wish she could come back
Griffin looked down and then wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. I hugged him back and cried more as he rubbed my back. Griffin may not be blood related to me, but he's the closest thing to a brother I ever had. He may be annoying as hell, but I love him more than anything.
Vance: thank you, Griff, for being here
I whispered as we pulled away from the hug.
Griffin: Of course, she'll come back one day, I know she will
He said as he smiled weakly.
I nodded and he walked out of my room and back into his. I laid back down and went to sleep, thinking about what Griffin said. She'll come back. One day.
