A/N: Above is a photo I made of Icekit using Felidaze's Cat Creator. The next page will explain the steps on how to get on the website!
Icekit jerked her head back into the den as she heard paw steps behind her. "Meet me behind the nursery just before sunhigh," She whispered to her littermates. Her brother and sister pricked their ears up in curiosity, but said nothing.
Their mother, Squirrelflight, was padding up to them and she nuzzled them each, protectiveness in her warm green gaze. "Everything will be fine," She whispered into Icekit's ear as she reached her, but Icekit was too excited at her discovery to push her mother away. Her father, Ashstar, was going to fight ShadowClan at the border at sunhigh. He'll need lots of warriors, she thought. Brave ones, like me. Smart ones, like Lightkit, and strong ones, like Stonekit.
Just before sunhigh, Icekit told her mother, "We're going into camp to play now!"
"Be careful!" Squirrelflight called after them, licking each of her kits once on the head before letting them scamper out of the nursery.
Icekit beckoned over to her littermates, and slipped carefully behind the nursery.
"So, what is it?" Lightkit asked as soon as they were settled comfortably among the branches.
"Rowanstar came to camp, and demanded territory," Icekit started, excitement welling up inside her again.
"What?" Stonekit exclaimed, his tail bushing up in fear. "Ashstar won't give it to him, will he?"
"He won't! He said, 'We won't back down without a fight.'" Icekit felt her excitement grow until it threatened to overwhelm her.
"So," Lightkit began, seeming to catch on. "You think we should join the fight?"
"Exactly! ThunderClan'll need more warriors if Rowanstar is so keen to steal land!" Icekit announced.
"I'm not so sure," Lightkit meowed, while Stonekit glanced around nervously, as though he expected a ShadowClan warrior to jump out of nowhere, while murmuring anxiously.
"It's alright. It's going to be alright." Icekit promised. "Especially if Ashstar has more warriors on his side," She added hopefully.
Lightkit seemed to think it over, while Stonekit glanced at his sisters. Eventually Lightkit sighed, giving in. "Alright, fine. But you have to promise, if anything goes wrong, and that means anything we have to go home."
Icekit knew there was no trying to press any farther. "I promise." She meowed solemnly.
