Sianna, a 21-year-old nurse intern, began her first day at the Buff Bay Clinic in Portland, where she was also a college student at The School of Agriculture and Science.

"Sianna, come mek mi tek yo picture," her grandmother said, filled with love.

She was Sianna's pride and joy.

"I'm coming, grandma!" Sianna replied, packing her bag.

Sianna went downstairs to grab a water from the fridge.

"Grandma, see mi here, you nah come tek the picture?" Sianna asked.

"Who you a talk to so likkle, pinkney? Is like you a smell you self!" her grandmother teased.

"Sorry, grandma, I don't want to be late," Sianna assured her.

"It's ok, just pose," her grandmother said.

"You can gwan now," she added.

Sianna kissed her grandmother's cheek and left the house.

She scrolled through TikTok and listened to Kandy's song, "Mi know mi a Christian, but dis yah song nice."

Her best friend, Karma, called.

"Weh yuh deh?" Karma asked.

"Mi soon reach," Sianna replied.

"You lie, look in front of you!" Karma said.

Sianna saw Karma and felt uneasy.

"You fi lucky mi call taxi. How yuh so lie 'bout you soon reach?" Karma asked.

A Mark X pulled up, and Karma walked toward it.

"Karma, weh you a go?" Sianna asked.

"Girl, come ina deh car," Karma said happily.

Sianna hesitated but got in.

"Dis a the taxi you call? You too lie," Sianna said.

"Chill, no, Sianna. Him a mi man," Karma replied.

Sianna kissed her teeth.

"Sianna, you nah talk to me?" Karma said.

"Tell you man fi stop at the police station. If none of my granny's friends see me coming out of this car, you know what's going to happen," Sianna warned.

Karma's friend, Kile, introduced himself.

Sianna arrived at the clinic, still upset with Karma.

A security guard asked, "Hello, miss, what's your name?"

"I'm Sianna William," she replied.

The guard said, "You can go now."

Sianna walked to room 103, where her first client awaited.

Her supervisor, unfriendly and unprofessional, handed her the client's file without shaking her hand.

The client, Marcus, 22, had a gunshot wound.

Sianna nervously introduced herself.

"Good morning, my name is Sianna. I'll be dressing your gunshot wound today," she said.

Marcus explained he was from St. Mary but got injured in Port Antonio.

Sianna dressed his wound.

As she washed her hands, she tripped, and Marcus caught her.

"Thank you," Sianna said, feeling butterflies.

"Be careful next time," Marcus advised.

Kile called out to Marcus.

"You ready, bro?" he asked.

"Yeah," Marcus replied.

"Yow, Sianna, Karma a look fi you," Kile said.

Sianna ignored Kile's comment and walked away.

Marcus said, "Yow, you know her?"

"Yeah, a mi woman fren. A wah you want har?" Kile said.

"Mi would a want har, but she seem shy. Shy is not my type," Marcus said.

"Shy? Maybe a because she a Christian."

"Christian girl dem too bad and have nuff man and give bun hard," Marcus said.

"Bro, mi no think she a that type a girl," Kile said.

"Alright," Marcus replied.

"Babe, can you wait until we finish working so we can go a Port Antonio?" Karma said while walking in the room.

"Ok, babe. When work ago over?" Kile asked.

"12:00 p.m.," Sianna rudely interrupted.

"Karma, can we talk?" Sianna asked.

"Yeah, what is it?" Karma asked with curiosity.

"I have a crush on the devil," Sianna said.

"Girl, grow up. You fool or something? And mi know a who you a talk 'bout from mi see how you a look pon him," Karma said angrily.

"Never mind, mi shouldn't tell you," Sianna said in disappointment.

"Come here. I'm sorry for that, but you can't a call the boy devil. You don't even know him," Karma said.

"I'm sorry," Sianna said.

"You should tell him that, not me," Karma said while walking outside.

"Hey, guys, plans are cancelled. I'm not in the mood," Karma said.

"I'm going home," Sianna said, hoping someone would care. Then she turned and was about to walk.

"Let me drop you off," Marcus said with a caring voice.

"I'll show you the way," Sianna said.

While walking to his car, "Which one is yours?" Sianna asked.

"The white BMW i7," Marcus said.

Sianna walked over, then Marcus opened the door, and she went in. When Marcus reached in the car, he turned on the air conditioner.

"Where should I turn?" Marcus asked.

"Turn to the left and don't go at the gate," Sianna said. He followed her instruction, then stopped at an abandoned house near to hers.

"Sianna, mi can get your numba?" Marcus asked, hoping he would get it.

"Yes, you can," she said while giving the number.

"Thank you. I'll text you tonight," Marcus said. Then Sianna came out of the car and waved bye. Marcus smiled at her and waved while driving off. Marcus caught himself smiling.

Sianna finally reached home, then she heard her phone buzz. There was a message from Marcus saying, "Hi." She walked into the house and went to tell her grandmother she was home. Then she saw her sleeping. She went to her room and took a shower. Then she started to remember when he caught her, his hand around her waist, and those tattoos on his arm. She came out of the bathroom, then put on a white baggy shirt with shorts. Then she saw that he was video calling her, so she answered. She was on the call for 4 hours, then finally fell asleep. Marcus watched her beautiful eyes and her lips, then he fell asleep too
