Rachit's P.O.V
I stood at the bottom of the stairs, waiting for Siya to come down. Tanu had told us that she would come down herself, and I was proud of her for being so strong.
"We'll get through this together," I had told Tanu, and she had smiled and nodded in agreement.
I walked upstairs to bring my wife-to-be down the aisle, feeling a sense of pride and happiness. But as I reached the top of the stairs and pushed the door opened, I saw something that made my heart stop.
Siya was kissing Vishal. And not just kissing him - she was telling him that she loved him.
I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I was hurt, shocked, and disbelief. I was out of words as I stared at them, my heart bleeding.
"W...what?" I managed to stammer, my voice shaking with emotion.
I walked further between them, my eyes fixed on Vishal. I was angry, so angry that I wanted to punch him. But as I looked at Siya, I felt a deep hurt. I raised my hand to punch Vishal, but I couldn't. He was my brother.
Siya looked up at me, tears streaming down her face. "Rachit, I'm so sorry," she said, her voice trembling.
But I was beyond consolation. I felt like my whole world had been turned upside down. I didn't know what to say or do. All I could do was stand there, my heart heavy with hurt and betrayal.
My eyes bore into Siya's, my gaze piercing and searching. I looked at her as if trying to see into her very soul, as if questioning everything I thought I knew about her.
"Is this really you, Siya?" My heart seemed to be asking, my eyes filled with hurt and disbelief. "Is this the girl I fell in love with? The girl who was supposed to be my wife?" I kept asking in my mind.
I looked at her for a long time, my expression unreadable. It was as if I was trying to reconcile the Siya I thought I knew with the Siya who was standing in front of me, confessing her love for my brother.
My eyes scanned her face, searching for answers. I looked at her lips, which had just moments before been kissing Vishal. I looked at her eyes, which were now filled with tears.
My face twisted in pain, my eyes welling up with tears. I looked like I had been punched in the gut, like all the air had been sucked out of me.
"S..Siya," I whispered, my voice cracking with emotion.
I shook my head, my eyes never leaving hers. "I thought we had something real. I thought we had something true."
Siya took a step forward, her hand reaching out to me. "Rachit, please..."
But I stepped back, my eyes flashing with pain. "No, Siya. I don't know who you are anymore."
And with that, I turned and walked away, leaving them standing alone in the room.
I walked downstairs, my heart heavy with betrayal. Prithvi approached me, asking where Siya was, but I just walked past him. I couldn't bear to talk about her right now.
I went to my mother and whispered that I didn't want to marry Siya anymore. She asked why, but I just looked down. I couldn't bring myself to tell her what I had just seen.
Prithvi grabbed my collar, his eyes blazing with anger.
"What the hell do you mean?" Prithvi asked, his voice low and menacing.
"Prithvi, please..." my mother tried to intervene.
"No, Aunt!" Prithvi shouted. "He's a liar! I knew He was not worthy of being with my sister!"
