Being choked by strings

He couldn't defend Snowdin as well as he thought he could. Despite having a spot in the royal guard, he couldn't stop the destruction of buildings and the near complete genocide of the small town. Blasters that looked like his own only with inverted colors and stained tears along its cheekbones. Their attacks could demolish an entire building and some of the surrounding area.

Many more flew over his head and further into the Underground but Sans was too focused on defending Snowdin than anywhere else in the Underground. He was able to destroy a few blasters and aid the few Snowdin residents to evacuation areas Undyne had made incase of possible scenarios like this.  The rock family were the last he helped before he observed the damage of Snowdin.

The small town he grew up in was destroyed. Everything was in ruins and bits of snow had melted off, leaving the bare branches, rooftops and ground looking duller than they once were. He could see piles of dust spread about the snow and on the steps to the few remaining houses that still stood.

He couldn't help but be afraid.

He wanted to stay with the other residents. In order to protect them he would say but really to keep himself safe and know that those he did save could remain safe.

But he needed to make sure that the rest of the underground, the other Royal Guards and the Queen were okay. And if anything, he could help take down whatever this force was.

He also didn't know where Papyrus was, he hadn't seen him in a while and with this massive killer on the loose, who knows whether he was dust or safe.

He had to move. If not for the safety of the Underground's residents, then for Papyrus.

Sans ran for Waterfall, not wanting to waste any time or magic. He might miss a few monsters who were able to hide. He'll do everything in his power to help anyone.

Strings apparently lined the entrance to Waterfall because as soon as he made his way into those wetlands, a blue string the height of his neck pulled him back as he ran straight into it.

It wrapped around his neck and pulled him up to the rocky ceiling above. He struggled, trying to prevent his neck from being snapped, or prevent any real damage from happening that could dust him.

He tried to reach for the walls in an attempt to kick himself free or stop whatever was dragging him up, but it was no use.

The pulling stopped and he was left hanging from a blue thread and faced with a skeleton that eerily looked and didn't look like him.

They had black bones and a wide toothy yellow grin. The skeleton wore a jacket like his brother's, only it was open to show a red shirt underneath. Their eyes were blood red and their fingers were multicolored. There were pixels all across their body and they looked to be giggling.

Was this skeleton committing the genocide?!

"aWW~ LookIE HeRE! Looks LIke we GOt a biTE huh?" Its voice was like metal to Sans' ears, he could hardly understand them.

"What?"

"Oh EXCuSe me. I havEN'T INtroDUced myseLF PRoPErLy yet!" Those same strings that left him hung were pulled from under this skeleton's sockets, which were lined with blue tears like those weird looking blasters, and  flung towards his chest, pulling out his soul and wrapping—TIGHTLY— around it.

It became harder to breath and he could feel himself go stiff now that his soul was out in the open. He tried to move, to will himself to struggle and fight back. But he couldn't make his own body do anything!

"IM errOR! GoD of DESTRUction! Ever hEarD of ME?" Error looked like he was having fun. Well when you're the God of Destruction you have to have little sanity, no? This guy was crazy! It didn't help that he looked the part!

"NoW, we'RE GoNNA have soME Fun~!" Were the last words he heard before his soul began to burn and he felt the walls decompressing on him. He felt as if he was being squeezed of all his marrow and his bones felt hallow before it all

Went dark.
