Centuries ago in the hisui region:
In the wilderness a girl was exploring, many Pokémon were looking at her but just shrugged her actions off as if it were to be normal. In her bag a vulpix was waving its tails around, smiling purely and looking up at the girl. "I heard there was an outbreak of teddiursas we can probably catch!" The girl said as the rind blew through her hair, the vulpix becoming even more happy, the two seeming to have a very strong bond. When climbing the top of a mountain a strange Pokémon with white tentacles appeared, looking down at the girl who now reached the top, vulpix not even paying attention behind the girl either. Moments later the jellyfish like Pokémon grabbed the girl who was screaming, dragging her back to a wormhole that glowed many colors. "Let me go! What are you!? " The strap of the girl's bag melted and it fell but the vulpix landed in a bush safely. "Vulpix! I'll find you! Stay strong! I'll come back for you! Vulpix!" The girl shouted before being dragged into the wormhole. Vulpix howled loudly, echoing through the valley as if calling out and a strange aura surrounded it.
Centuries later in the alola region.
In a strange temple in the alola region rumbling across the valley was heard, cracks appearing in the sky, rainbow colors emerging and a wormhole appeared, the same girl appearing but seemed to be covered in a hard shell that slowly melted away, her hair longer than use too and completely white with black bangs, her skin pale like snow. A helicopter was heard, sending down a harness, "it's not an ultra beast, it looks like a girl." The pilot said and then a few people that seemed to be medical team climbed down. The girl was twitching, the hard shell completely melted now and was just slime. A women with long blond hair walked to the girl and looked at the ultra wormhole that was now closing and was no longer able to be seen. "Her clothes. She's from another time." She murmured and looked at the slime that surrounded the unconscious girl's body that was covered in it, she seemed to haven't aged one millisecond. "Take her to the aether paradise. Get her cleaned up and run tests. Try getting her awake." She said and then looked at the temple. Hours later the girl continued twitching her fingers even more and her eyes were open. The room around her was covered in the sent of rubbing alcohol, and even some salt. "Where... am I? Vulpix? Anyone?" The girl asked and was looking around everywhere, getting out of a bed but saw technology that looked complicated to her, she saw her items on a table such as her notebook and pencil that seemed to be in perfect condition. "Where am I? What's going on?" The girl was in a state of panic, looking around everywhere and stood up but instantly regretted it as she stumbled over and fell on the ground, it's as if she couldn't move a toe. She groaned, sitting up in pain but a door automatically slid open which freaked out the girl. The tall blond walked in and held out her hand. "It's alright. I'm lusamine. No one is going to hurt you. Where are you from? Where's your home?" She asked, helping the girl up who was confused about everything. "I'm kari... I'm... from hisui... my partner is vulpix... I want to go home." The girl managed to let out, her legs wobbling and her hands shaking. "Hisui? That explains a lot now." Lusamine said. The two left in the corner of the room was a diancie watching from a desk. In a separate room kari sat in a wheelchair, a tray of food was presented to her but she didn't eat a single bite. "Why aren't you eating anything? Aren't you hungry?" Lusamine asked and looked at the tray that was untouched. "Not really. It feels like I already ate. I did have a full course meal with my mother and father." Kari said and placed a hand on her stomach, a calm and emotionless expression. "Interesting. I didn't feel like this when nihilego took me. Did they have plans for her?" Lusamine asked herself and then she reached into her pocket and held out a rotom phone that seemed to be covered in stone. "We also found this in your pocket. I didn't know the old ages had phones like these." "What's going to happen to me if I can't go back home? Do I have to stay here in this place?" Kari asked until a nihilego appeared but it was yellow unlike the one that took her before. "Oh, Lillie. If you're here then I'm guessing Gladion and Lillie are here too." Lusamine as she looked at the ultra beast as if it were normal. The same diancie appeared to be watching from the doorframe, looking at kari with suspicions. "Is that a pokemon?" Kari asked and reached into her pocket, grabbing a pokeball from it. "You can say that. An ultra beast is a Pokémon from another world. This is Lillie." Lusamine said which slightly eased Kari enough that she let go of the pokeball. Ultra beast Lillie just looked at kari, it was slightly trembling and it quickly flew away. "Miss lusamine, if I may, how am I suppose to return to hisui if I'm stuck here? Where everything is different." Kari asked and tried getting out of the wheelchair but she was strapped down by the legs to prevent falling. "We'll get my team to work on finding a way to get you back. Earlier I heard you call out the names of a Pokémon. Is it your partner?" "Vulpix. She is my partner. I'll do anything to get back to her. She is my number one priority." Kari said and then she started playing with her hair, using her fingers to brush it until they were caught. "Did you happen to bring any other Pokémon with you?" Lusamine asked which sparked something in kari and she pulled out one pokeball that was made of stone. "No, zorua. It was in this pokeball." Kari said with not even a hint of emotion. "Don't worry. Today we actually have the technology to bring fossils back to life. If it's the pikeball it'll take five weeks at least." Lusamine said and took the fossilized pokeball and put it in a Shute. "Mother, me and gladion got your call. We also brought the things you asked for." Another girl said, two people walked in and carried two bags. "Excellent. Lillie, gladion. Meet Kari. She'll be staying here or with us for the time being until she goes home." Lusamine said and looked at the two and took the bags. "If she's going to stay here then why need different clothes?" Gladion asked and looked back at ultra beast Lillie who was hiding behind the doorframe. "This I know. Is it because she'll also be going to school with me?" Lillie asked which confused kari. Lusamine looked at the door and saw the diancie who seemed to be spying. "I see you're awake too. We found you a day before her." She said softly and diancie was confused and tilted its head and it levitated over. Kari gasped and looked at diancie, showing little emotion towards it. "You're still here. Diancie." Diancie smiled widely, levitating closer and hugged kari. "Wow, you two have a strong bond together." Lillie said with a smile as she watched the reunion. "It has been to long I'm glad you're here." Diancie said and looked overjoyed. She created a pink Diamond and it shimmered in the light. Once Kari got changed into more moderne clothes which were overalls and a purple top she was now on melemele island with Lillie and snowy, the sky orange and bright. Lillie was pushing kari in the wheel chair and went towards a mansion. "I'm sorry diancie couldn't leave with you. Our mother really wanted to run some tests on a talking Pokémon." Lillie said, looking at the mansion with a smile. "Our mother? What do you mean?" Kari asked which silenced Lillie with confusion, looking at kari. "She hasn't told you when you woke up? She said she signed some forms that will make you a part of the family until we get you back to hisui. That makes me and Gladion your sister and brother." Lillie explained to kari, the gates opening and the two headed in. Once inside Lillie took kari to the playground that was filled with Pokémon, snowy was running towards it happily. "Maybe you should try catching a Pokémon to be your partner. And when you get to go back home you leave it here with us." Lillie said and then took out a pokeball and placed it in Kari's hands. A riolu was running around freely, kari weekly threw the pokeball which missed completely, landing in front of a Pokémon which was sitting on a rock looking at the sky. The Pokémon noticed the pokeball and touched it which was then sucked in. The pokeball jiggled three times and then it was caught. Lillie walked over and lifted up the poke ball with a smile. "Well I'm sure this Pokémon will also make a perfect partner pokemon. Do you have this Pokémon in hisui?" Lillie asked and handed gently placed the pokeball in Kari's hand. "I never seen this type of pokemon before. Is it particularly strong?" Kari asked and then pressed the button on the poke ball, watching as it opened up and the pokemon appeared and on Kari's lap. Kari lifted it up with ease and gasped. "It's so fluffy. And light. It's like my favorite plush toy." She said, squeezing pokemon's cheeks which seem the two loved, the Pokémon being showered with attention, and kari loving the Pokémon's cuteness. "I should take you to your room now. You'll be living here. And when mother needs you then hobbes will take you to aether paradise. And he'll take us to school. But I guess they'll have to be some changes every morning now since you're in a wheelchair. Once you're able to walk then I'll teach you everything I know about alola." Lillie said with a smile, her hands on her hips. "Do people still throw gunk at pokemon to make it easier to catch?" Kari asked which left Lillie confused as to what she meant. It was now complete night, everyone else was asleep but a little room was lit, inside was lusamine standing against a wall and kari who was using two rails to stay up on her two feet. "You're almost there kari. A few more steps." Lusamine said but notice Kari's arms faltering already and she fell back onto her wheelchair. "Ever since I woke up all my muscles feel like they aren't even there... I use to be able to run around where ever I go. How am I suppose to do that now to get back home?" Kari asked, lusamine walking over and putting two straps on Kari's legs so they wouldn't touch the ground when moving around in the wheelchair. "Maybe we're seeing things differently. When I look at you... you remind me of a nihilego. It's as if your body was going through the middle of a change. When you escaped the shell I found you in it must've been when your legs were about to change. If so then that's why you can't walk." Lusamine said this with confidence, looking up at kari who has her hair in her face. "Sorry. Since I got into this... discrimination of what you people call clothes. Without my bandana my hair won't stay out of my face." Kari apologized, fixing her hair until a pin was placed. What were you doing originally before ending up here in alola." Lusamine asked and then stood back up, slowly pushing kari along and out of the room. "I was wondering... how did diancie talk? Pokémon I know don't ever talk unless if they were teaching themselves." Lusamine ask which confuse kari completely. "Telekinesis. She just moves her mouth to seem as if talking human language." Kari replied and looked down at her legs. "I do not wish to stay in this strange seat for much longer, even if I can't move my legs." Kari said and was pushed into the hallway by lusamine. "It's called a wheelchair. You'll get use to it." Lusamine said with a smile, looking at kari's bag and the Pokémon was asleep in it, twitching its tiny feet. "This pokemon... is it particularly strong?" Kari asked as she reached for the pokemon and took it out of her bag, it was a mawile. "Oh, that's a mawile, a steel and fairy type Pokémon. I say you got lucky catching it with just one Poke ball." Lusamine said and when she reached a room she opened the door. "It's not much, but until we get you home you'll stay here." She said, all that was of the room was blank picture frames and a bed with a few windows. The next day arrived, kari was in a classroom at the pokemon school, mawile was running around with a wide smile. Professor kakui was writing on a board. "Everyone, this is kari. She'll be enjoying us now!" He said and then mawile bumped into primarina who was looking down at it. "It's a pleasure to meet you all. I'm looking forw-" Kari was cut off by mawile jumping on her face and screaming, snapping its second jaw. Time after getting everything settled they were all in a wilderness with clipboards. "Today class, we're going to determine a Pokémon by their footprints." Kakui said and then grabbed a deck of cards. After everyone grabbed a car two of each had the same color, Lillie with sophocles, lana with mallow, and kiawe with kari. The group went separate ways with a blank sheet of paper. "I hope Kari's going to be okay in the wilderness. She shouldn't really be out here." Lillie said as she looked through the ground, snowy sniffing the air. "When I heard she's from the hisui region I thought it was a prank. I bet it's tough being away from home." Sophocles said and picked up a rock that seemed to have strange scratch marks, looking over at togedemaru who lifted up a piece of wood with the similar scratches. With kiawe and kari the two were hitting just hitting trees with both rocks and stones. "I bet we can find more than just foot prints, I bet we can find the Pokémon." Kiawe said and marowak was hitting trees with its bone. Slowly something made way to the two but it stopped when mawile was growling and snapping its second jaw towards its direction which caught everyone's attention. The something appeared, raising its blade towards mawile and tried to attack before mawile's second jaw bit its arm. "That's a bisharp! Look at the size of that thing!" Mallow shouted but was caught off guard by a herd of pawniard which formed a circle around the giant bisharp and the tiny mawile. "Lana! Go get professor kakui!" Kiawe shouted but it seemed that the pawniard haded different ideas and blocked everything. "We have an even bigger problem here!" Lana shouted and then the pawniard's started clanging their blades together and then mawile and bisharp broke away from their contact with each other. "Vulpix! Use-" Kari stopped herself, shaking her head and pointed an bisharp. "Mawil, Use iron head!" Mawile raced towards bisharp who blocked itself with its arms and was knocked back by the force, an object flying up in the air, mawile falling to the ground a bit dizzy. When the item fell it was on kari's left wrist, an orange Z-ring with a steelium Z attached. Tapu koko appeared almost instantly across the circle where mawile and bisharp stood and it crossed its arms. "What is that Pokémon? I never seen anything just like it." Kari said and then mawile's breathing synced with Kari's in a heartbeat. "Kari' do what tapu koko is doing!" Lillie shouted from further away. Kari crossed her arms which the same for mawile, the steelium Z glowing brightly. Tapu koko slowly spread its arms and the two copied. "Harder than the rocks beneath our feet! Unraveling hope that's beyond hisuian legend!" Without even copying kari bumped her fists together and threw them forward, mawile striking the same pose and Z-power surrounded its body. Bisharp was shocked and got ready to attack. "Now mawile! Use corkscrew crash!" Mawile started to spin around at insane speeds and ram into bisharp, causing it to struggle and then get sent back and fainted. The pawniards started running away, the steelium Z slowly breaking into dust and fading away and mawile stood in place and started to spin around slowly and fell to its side, small duckletts flying over her head. Tapu koko disappeared in an instant. "That was weird. It's not like Pokémon to have any Z-rings or Z-crystals with them. Only totem Pokémon do." Mallow said and noticed that the bisharp already stood back up and standing menacingly. Bisharp reached behind its back and then took out a Z-Crystal, a darkinium Z and tossed it into the air. "What is it doing?" Sophocles asked and looked up at the darkinium Z that then changed its form and fell down and hit Kari's forehead and fell to the ground. "Owww" Kari murmured and rubbed her forehead which had a red mark. Kakui came running after hearing the commotion. "What happened? Are all of you okay?" He asked and was out of breath, noticing that bisharp was standing there. Mawile picked up the Z-Crystal and placed it on the Z-ring on Kari's wrist and it fit perfectly. "It's like the same Z-ring as ash's. What's a Pokémon like that doing carrying a Z-ring and a Z-Crystal?" Kiawe asked before hala walked over with his arms crossed. "So there you are bisharp. Now return the Z-ring you took." Hala said and the bisharp seemed panicked about everything. "Hala, what are you doing here?" Kakui asked and then was met with bisharp turning to him with a glare before running into the woods. "That bisharp showed up recently. In the mountains is where he stays, a totem Pokémon. I'm guessing it wanted to prove itself to be part of the island challenges." Hala said and looked at the group of students that were surrounded kari who held the mysterious Z-crystal that had the emblem of a mawile's jaw.
