September 1st 1995

I knew from the start of the school year was going to be hell, not only were both of my parents back. The ministry was at Hogwarts meaning I couldn't execute my father's wishes properly. I step off of the train waiting for the carriage. I never minded school though at times I thought it was useless. I could teach myself the same things just with the book.

"Names, please" Professor Flitwick asked me and my brother.

"Tom and Mattheo Riddle." I replied. I don't know why he asks us this. He knows who we are. He known us both since we were 11. There's no need to ask our names. Last year, he didn't even ask after everything that happened at the World Cup, he was too scared to even talk to us for the beginning half of the year.

"Very well." Flitwick nodded his head allowing us to pass.

The carriages were pulled by thestrals, they were beautiful beast. I've always found them fascinating, the thought of being able to see them after you've seen death was amusing to me. I gently brushed its wings as I got onto the carriage. Its wings felt like leather. It's such a shame that not everyone could see them. They were sweet creatures, and highly intelligent. "Have you read the daily profit?" I look over to my brother.

"Yes." I've been reading it more since my parents have gotten back helps me keep my mind off of my mother's intensity.

"It's crazy how the ministry thinks it's all a lie Harry is dreaming up." Is he really talking about this right now? Is he really that stupid?

"Mattheo, it would be best not to talk about that, yeah?" we don't need the entire school, knowing that our father is actually back from my brothers loudmouth.

"It's funny though and they're calling Dumbledore crazy telling him he shouldn't be-"

"Enough, Dumbledore is crazy. Our father is not back." Do I have to keep reminding him of this lie? "No one knows where our father is."

"Tom what are you talking about? He's literally back at-"

"Did you just not hear me!? We have no idea where he is, the dark Lord is not back." For Merlin sake does he not know that if people actually hear it come out of her mouth that the ministry is going to be in panic? "Don't be spreading lies."

He goes quiet for a second before finally clicks in his tiny brain "Oh yeah, right. Yeah." I squint my brows at him. He really is stupid. I turned my attention to the forbidden forest, watching the trees pass as the carriage takes us up to the castle.

By the time we enter the great hall, most of the tables are already filled. I take my seat next to my brother as he sits next to his best friend Theodore Nott. His father was one of my fathers followers, he's been trying to get Snapes position for the past decade, my father is right hand man.

"Are you just getting here?" Draco asked

"Yeah, Mattheo lost his frog." Me and Mattheo had to track down his frog before we could get onto the carriages. I should've just killed that damn frog, it's useless anyways.

"He jumped out of my hands." my brother protested.

"I don't understand why you just didn't get an owl. It wouldn't have jumped out of your hands."
